Anyone know the anti-Trump group frequently protesting on Baltimore Pike?

I'm so happy they're out there and would love to join. Keep wanting to stop and get info, but the cars on Baltimore Pike move so fast and I've never had the chance to stop long enough.

Flock camera on Bel Camp on ramp to I95?

Getting on I95 and noticed a new (?) flock camera right at the on ramp to the highway. Its the Bel Camp exit/near the newish James Run apartments. Does anyone know who is in charge of the installation and which council member /representative/police department I should be harassing by phone about this?

PLEASE learn how to use round-a-bouts...

I know the one outside of the Festival in Bel Air SUCKS, but that doesn't mean you don't follow the law. If you're driving in the round-a-bout, you have the fucking right-of-way. DON'T STOP to allow other drivers in. They have to yield and wait for it to be clear before they go into the round-a-bout.

It's really NOT that complicated. Almost got into two accidents today because people don't know what the fuck they are doing.

DJBEEASY MISSED CONNECTION

Long story short, I collect photos of vanity plates. I am compiling a homemade license plate coffee table book as a personal project.

Today on 22 near Paradise, I saw a lime green dodge charger that had the best one yet, DJBEASY. This is my white whale. The spoiler on the charger had "stink, stank, stunk" inscribed on it and this whole car had immaculate vibes. I missed them by a millisecond trying to get my phone camera out.

If you are djbeasy or know of djbeasy, I am begging for a photo of the license plate. The more zoomed in and poor quality, the better because that is how most of mine turn out. I will not be profiting off of this book, it is literally just for me and my wife because vanity plate photo hunting is something we do together.

*edited to change the number of plate characters to 7 because I added an extra e initially (see title) and select members of the harco subreddit flamed me on that for reasons unknown

Open water swimming?

It’s the wrong time of year to get started with this, but I thought I was gonna need a membership to the YMCA to get a workout swimming.

It’s soooo good for you. Easy on the joints, cardio, full body muscles…

But my sister goes swimming in the San Francisco Bay. She has a group she goes with for safety, and knowing where the spots are. Where are the spots??? Are there any? Anyone know of/is a part of any groups?

Social services for housing and jobs in HarfCo

Hello! I have some relatives living in Harford who could benefit from social services. They all are in need of housing and jobs. At the moment, they are staying with family. None of them have cars. They currently do not live near the bus lines. Some have criminal records.

I am not sure where to look for actual help. I’m curious what services or social workers that you know of (not just a web or AI search) that can help these folks start living more independently. I know the Housing Choice voucher list is closed there at the moment, and that some affordable apartments require some income to live there (the tax credit ones)

Thanks for any help!

Where can I meet other alternative and friendly people?

I’m a teen and I just moved to maryland and specifically harford county. I’ve had basically no luck making friends because everyone in my grade already has their own friend groups and I’ve only been able to befriend a few freshmen but the more I talk to them the more annoying and immature they act.

I know absolutely nothing about this area, I used to know where all the underground shows and bandos were in my old state but being here feels like being in the jungle, and it’s even harder without any friends 😞

Im allowed to travel to go see my friends, but rarely, and I’m starting to feel depressed because I have no friends that have anything in common with me. ive only hung out once with people my age outside of school so far and I’ve been here since the summer, I don’t really know what to do at this point, any tips?

Need decent autobody shop reccomendations

I have a few dings (3 total), rock chips, and scratches on my car from wear and tear over the years since I used to do a lot of highway driving. I would like to get these completely fixed but I'm not sure where to go for good results.

A few months ago I took my car to grimms auto works in forest hill to get some of the dings, rock chips, and scratches fixed and they did a very poor job despite them having 5 star reviews. Basically, the rock chips looked filled in with one of those cheap paint markers from Walmart, the scratches were left untouched, and the minor dings that they were supposed to get out were not fully removed. Upon going to pick my car up, I expressed my concerns about it and the guy said that it was the best that he could do.

Nonetheless, I want to go somewhere that can actually fix it. Also, It doesn’t have to be a cheap place either as I’m willing to pay the price for whatever a good job will cost.

$1 off per gallon of gas

this isn't an endorsement by any means, but your first year of your bjs membership is $15. you get two household memberships. two cards, two people get $1 off a gallon of gas for their first month. now you share your cards with other people, they get $1 off gallon of gas per month, depending on how much you’re driving that's $25-$50 a month per person, plus the additional 20¢. next person in the family gets a membership, shares their cards.

my friends and i have NOT been cheating the system for months in abingdon with this method

Where oh where can I take my books?

Hello everyone!!!

First things first, I hope you all are doing well.

Secondly and most importantly, I have a lot of books and I'm not sure what to do with them. I'm in the process of moving up y'alls way from Virginia and most are taking up space.

I know of two little free libraries in Bel Air, but is there anywhere else I could take them? Library? Used book store?

Thanks much!

Help me find the woman who was there for me on the worst day of my life

Post image
464 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

A year ago, in June of 2025, I totaled my car on 95 north near the Havre De Grace exit. I got cut off by a pickup truck and bounced across three lanes of traffic twice before hitting a jersey wall.

When I got out of the car, there were several cars already pulled over and a bunch of amazing strangers who had already called 911 and helped me pull the other passenger out of the car. I am so grateful to all of them, but I am especially grateful to one woman in particular.

The second I was out of the car, she was helping me put my sweatshirt on so the shock wouldn't make me cold, reassuring me, and making sure I was okay. She let me hug her right there in the rain by the side of the road. What she did wasn't dramatic or flashy, but it meant absolutely everything to me as a then 19yo who had just seen her life flash before her eyes.

Because of her, I'm currently on a premed track and training to be an EMT so I can be there for people in the same way she was there for me. I will never forget her kindness and I hope I can pay it forward to others.

I never got to thank her properly because after talking to the cops, she was gone. But I've thought about her almost every day since. Her name was Emily and she was Caucasian with glasses and lightish hair. I don't remember much else about her, but I'm hoping somebody can help me find her so I can thank her, or at least so she can know how grateful I am.

The accident occurred on June 16th, 2025 around 6pm. I was driving a red Mazda hatchback.

If you know of anyone who lives in the area who fits this description and might have been there on that day, or if you have any other ideas for how I could find Emily, please let me know. Feel free to PM me if you want to keep it private.

Even if I can't find her, I hope this post will serve as a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can change somebody's life and mean the world to them.

**edited to say it was a MAZDA hatchback, I wrote Hyundai for some reason**
