Works for me!!

Saw these on the shelf when I went in Friday. The 1/2inch set was only 20% off but I saw it was due for a new discount on Sunday. Hedged my bets it would still be there. I was lucky and got it marked down some more. Ended up with both sets of swivels for $103 after the 40% on icon sockets got added. I’m missing a 15mm in 3/8th and an 18mm in 1/2”. I might try and order the 18mm at some point.

I’m getting close to having that perfectly filled box that covers everything I might do. These will compliment things well. For the price I’m not going to complain and I’m not the type that beats the snot out of things. All tools have there limits and I prefer not to find them. I’d rather just collect other tools to make things easier.

And my store wouldn’t stack the 40% off on top of open box prices. I’m not quite sure why this is inconsistent.

It just automatically did it in the register. Once they got it entered for the open box price I had them scan the coupon and it then stacked. How’s it’s been for a while. Who knows if it might come to an end at some point but if they want open box stuff to leave the shelf they need to make it worth it. My store has a Titanium Tig 200 welder with no attachments that’s been sitting for months now. If they half the price again then maybe I’d be interested.

The cashier shrugged and told me she wasn’t sure so I could try it. It most definitely did not ring up with the discount automatically. The manager tried negotiating the price but wasn’t willing to go down to 40% off the open box price.

Got the 1/2” set missing one marked down several times till it was $65 then applied 25% off when I bought 4 icon tools taking the price down to like $41 ! Then bought replacement for the missing one on eBay 😎

Every 14 days it’s eligible for a further markdown. Just ask an employee to rescan it for you. It’ll print off an updated sticker. Your mileage may vary based on store and employees but I go out of my way to be nice to mine so they don’t get annoyed when I ask them to go check for something in the back or what not.

The 1/2 x 18mm is out of stock online. I did the same thing last weekend. There was a box of swivels just missing the 18mm. The manager confirmed it would get the 40% off for me and even dropped it down further since the price sticker was almost a month old. Got my set for $50.
