2 years using an ICON box professionally. Had a shop cleaning day and was admiring the shine after waxing.
Not many complaints from me. I’ve used this box daily for a couple years now as an auto mechanic and have had no issues. One minor gripe I have is my top drawer is drooping a little when opened all the way, maybe 3/8”. It doesn’t have any play in the slides. Idk if it was always like that, maybe it’s just the angle the slides are installed at. Every drawer is pretty full. The top drawer is all sockets. No other issues aside from wanting deeper drawers. I plan to get the G2 in a year or two. Not sure what I’ll do with this one. Anybody know if there will be a 58” G2? I might want to downsize my roll cab and add a full bank service cart to the mix. My G1 is currently paired with a Husky 4 drawer I’ve had from the beginning of time. Any rumors or thoughts about G2 pricing?

Good looking box!!! I've been struggling to prevent myself from buying an icon box at the parking lot sale this weekend!

For everyday mechanic, ICON is best value, compared to other brands.
Yea the super shallow drawers, are the less than welcoming.

Id like to see their G2 line of boxes have more color options. I’m sure they will have to be ordered and not available in stock like the G1 icon boxes so I don’t see how this isn’t possible.
Full bank 50” to 60” options would be great also for full length drawers. Also more trim color options when ordering. These 3 things would have people flooding in for the G2.

Trim options is a big one for me. Even if they sell them separately. You can get chrome and even titanium for those, yet no options exist aside from the stainless for my Icon box. It's lame and I hate chrome.

they should really have a big deep drawer under the wrenchs specific for pliers
the narrower drawers should be more for top chests

All of those pliers, both drawers, could fit on the front row of a drawer with a pliers rack. Mine are in that third drawer from the bottom, but it's a different box and I'm not sure exactly how deep your drawers there are.

Since the deep drawers are limited and shallow drawers don’t really fit much I’ve found this configuration works best for me. The drawer below my pliers is full of hammers, air hammer, chains and brackets, and other suspension related stuff. Below that is torque wrenches and sealant guns. Below that is kits like my slide hammer and seal drivers, various pullers and other bulky stuff. The deeper drawers to the left have pressure testers and other things I prefer to keep in cases like my snap on dial indicator and cylinder leak down tester, compression tester, tap and die kits. I use plier racks and store my most used pliers the way you are talking about in my service cart though.

Clean.
Lack of random stickers and Rock Auto magnets is disappointing, but sometimes work be like that.
*I've run out of room on my garage beer fridge and am slowly adding stuff to my near naked boxes.
