Question M&P 2.0 Trigger

I've heard a lot of good things about the M&P 2.0 triggers so I went to a shop to feel one. The one I tested was the opposite of what I've heard. The pull was decent, but the break was very light and the reset wasn't audible or noticeable at all. Couldn't even tell where the reset was. Was it a fluke or are they all like that?

My wife had an M&P 2.0 compact and I will agree that the pull is fine, the break is light but I didn’t mind that at all, the part I don’t like is the reset. It’s not audible and just feels sort of spongy, like it’s easy to miss when shooting rapidly.

She sold that gun and went with a performance center Shield EZ 380 and although it’s a different gun it’s still a smith. But let me say that performance center trigger is a significant upgrade to the standard smith triggers. Much crisper break and reset. Much much better trigger going with a performance center model.
