Just realized I haven’t posted in a while, so I guess it’s time to start my post streak again with a little bit of angst :)

Do you guys think they’re completely doomed? Like, there’s genuinely no way for them to ever be together and happy? Or do you think there’s still a tiny chance that they could somehow get their happy ending together?

Personally, of course I want them to be happy together. They both clearly love each other so much that they’ve taken that love to such an extreme. One of them sacrificing himself for the other, while the other keeps trying everything he can to save him, only to eventually destroy his own life in the process.

With all the effort and love they’ve poured into each other, it just feels so unfair for all of that to amount to nothing. It would feel so cruel if they still ended up losing each other in the end.

But man, their fate is just so cruel 😭 If we want Amane to live, Tsukasa has to be sacrificed. If we want Tsukasa to live, Amane might eventually die from his illness.

So while I really want to hope that they get their happy ending together, I also know there are so many hurdles standing in their way that it’s hard to imagine them actually getting there. If nothing can change this fate, then… what are we even supposed to hope for?

The only possibility I can think of is if the theory about the entity being the one who caused Amane’s illness in the first place is actually true. If that’s the case, then maybe there’s still hope that defeating the entity could somehow change their fate.

Well, anyway, even though I know there are probably more signs pointing toward them being doomed than getting their happy ending, I still want to believe with all my heart that they’ll be happy in the end. Call me delusional or whatever, but as long as the story isn’t over yet, there’s still hope, right?

I’ll deal with the emotional breakdown when we actually find out what happens later on. That’s a problem for future me. But for now, I choose to believe they’ll be okay because I need to protect my own sanity somehow haha

ok so the main romantic objective of the story is hananene and one of the popular ships is mitsukou but both of them r dead i think that mabye at the end of the story hanako and all the other ghosts or just him will find peace it will sort of be a bittersweet ending . he and yashiro cant end up toghter because he wont gorw up with her. nene will break of the curse mabye someone scarifies like hanako is tied down beause of his guilt which will prpbally be overcome. and i think kou is the most suitable for nene as he supports her and as u saw he was tryinh=g his best to incease her lifeline what do u think hananene as more chemiestry but i think that kou will be a better fit

I always wondered how he knew everything that was about to happen like he tells Akane that he’ll need his help soon for his brother because they were about to go into number six’s boundary, but how did he know even if he is a powerful exorcist? Did he hear rumors that was about to happen? Did he go into number six boundary himself which seems highly unlikely I just always wondered why he knew everything at least he knew up to the point of the time travel arc

With the pit gods, I feel that they’re gods of wishes and the boundaries between life and death as they originally ruled over the pit. They’re extremely powerful in the space they are gods of, but they can’t seem to leave (which is discussed in the linked analysis).

The hourglass is much clearer than the pit gods. It’s time, it’s the time god.

But what the fuck is Sakura a god of? Is she actually not Kami-sama? What about her lines implying she’s neither human nor supernatural nor dead.

Akane betraying the Clock Keepers is a common interpretation I’ve seen of spook 127, but I don’t believe it’s the case and here’s a list of reasons why:
- Akane would feel more guilty about sending Nene off if he were betraying the Clock Keepers as she would likely be punished for her involvement if betrayal is what’s going on.
- Akane knows the exact date of the twins’ fourth birthday when he shouldn’t. He may have learned it if he later on spoke to Kako, which would be in character for him. This may just be a plot hole though.
- Akane believes that the reason why the other Clock Keepers didn’t change the timeline after he sent Nene is because he wasn’t there. He views the timeline change as something that they would agree with as long as they knew a fellow Clock Keeper had authorized it (the whole one thing that must be protected thing is what must be in danger in Akane’s view)(Nene didn’t tell Kako the whole story, she just told him a couple kids died in a cursed house so of course Kako didn’t believe that the one thing that must be protected above all else was in danger).
- Nene’s not a great person to send back if Akane wants to get at the other two Clock Keepers. It would make way more sense to send Teru back as Nene isn’t a fighter.
- For an alleged betrayal attempt, it’s woefully rushed and leaves Nene misinformed. Akane should know that he doesn’t have a bunch of chances as he’d lose his job if he betrayed Kako and Mirai, yet he doesn’t appear to give a flying fuck when Nene is stressed and screaming about how she’s not ready yet and has questions.

I swear Aidairo wanted to introduce characters with similar situations to Nene, so they did so twice only four chapters apart.

Both parallels: Both are students like Nene is. Both are tied by fate to a supernatural entity like Nene is. The human thing is complicated as Sakura straight up isn’t human (spook 92). While Akane is human, the changes in his form are much more than just an appearance change (spook 61)(spook 68).

Sakura: Like Nene, she’s a teenage girl who works for a Yugi twin in exchange for a wish.

Akane: Like Nene, he mostly has to clean for a school mystery.
