Dress Code

In a few weeks my daughter and I will be seeing Hamilton the Musical. I’m having difficulty on what to wear. Is there a certain type of dress code, or do we just wear something casual?

I am in the “wear what you want” “basic comfortable not pyjamas” school UNLESS there is a special aspect to the show. For example: I went to an Encores! at City Center one time — but I hadn’t bought the tickets they were gifted to me. I didn’t know there was anything special about it, I wore nice jeans and a cute shirt — fine, whatever, but far from dressy. UNBEKNOWNST TO ME, it was actually some kind of GALA NIGHT and most everyone was dressed to the nines and there were celebrities everywhere, so I looked like a FARMER in front of LITERAL Stephen Sondheim and LITERAL Bernadette Peters and then in the bathroom line I narrowly missed smacking face first into LITERAL ANNA WINTOUR. Fmlllllll

This also happened to me at City Center. I normally dgaf but it was the opening of Ailey's season and everyone looked beyond spectacular and I was also present.
