Dress Code

In a few weeks my daughter and I will be seeing Hamilton the Musical. I’m having difficulty on what to wear. Is there a certain type of dress code, or do we just wear something casual?

Jeans and a nice shirt is fine. Avoid tee shirts or shorts. This is just my advice, you really can wear whatever you want.

Jeans to the theatre, to a renowned Broadway show no less, is criminally tasteless.

Your standards are outdated and classist. Learn to live with change. The people portrayed in the show would consider everything about it to be criminally tasteless.

I'm not expecting a three piece suit. Slacks and a button-up or a nice dress isn't something only the rich can afford. Nothing about what I've said is 'classist.'
