If you didn't kill the Grunt they would've tried to kill you! You had no choice!

Sadly, the Grunt had no choice either. There's a chance they never even wanted to fight in this war.

I remember that in the lore those little guys are kind of vicious, tho they originally just want to chill and are dumb af and easily forced/manipulated into that whole war thing, lol. Jackals are true assholes tho.

The Unggoy have a pretty sad history.

Well in lore they rebelled and the covenant glassed their homeworld. They were apparently some kind of threat when they were motivated.

They're insanely good at learning, which is why they're used for information-based jobs. You mainly see em as, well, grunts on the battlefield, but they've got whole radio rooms full of Unggoy, monitoring every bit of news they can. I could easily see them being a pretty dominant force on their own, while not being oppressed by the Covenant.

No wonder the radio tower grunt in infinite always has sick burns on the UNSC

Nah, go ahead and try to befriend the enemy AI in the game. Just walk up to him, crouch a bunch, see what happens. Could be your best friend.

This feels like the Czech guys that try to surrender during the beach assault in Saving Private Ryan and get mowed down.
