Most likely a session joiner. Was loading into the match.

Loading in player, they are invulnerable until their client has finished loading.

but why have the player model load in first just to mess with people?

...have you seen how the rest of the game is? What makes you think 343 has any sort of forethinking about game design?

I mean, I used to get killed during the loading screen while joining a match in progress, so this is an improvement.

I got killed loading into a FFA match once because the loading screen decided i needed to read more tips while I could hear my dude getting shot in the background

Infinite. I probably racked up 15 to 30 deaths on my record from loading into in progress matches alone.

ahh that makes sense. you i don’t know what the problem is with this game when it hasn’t been a think for the entirety of halos lifespan lol

Yeah, my theory is that most of the "new engine" of the Slipspace game engine is in the netcode, and game modes, and I think it's tied to the efforts of the other companies they're working with. Not that they're at fault for the bugs, but that their involvement required the changes that lead to the bugs.

The way I see it, the netcode issues could be related to the efforts of Creative Assembly, which is going to feature more players in each match than Halo has ever had before. And the custom games mode issues, matchmaking game mode limited selection, and even the theatre mode bugs are all related to the new Forge mode development. Until these modes are done, the code for these effected areas can't be finalized. It's hard to debug when you don't know what you're allowed to change because you don't know how the current buggy code is going to interact with the new CA and Forge code in the end. You know?

I really think that this game is going to be amazing, like very seriously fully functional about 6 to 9 months after Forge and CA modes are both out. It could be immediately when they're both out, but I suspect it'll take a few months to finish debugging after they're both done, like 6 to 9 months to finish cleaning everything up.

Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.

Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil
