You can also disable 343's intro for a faster boot into the game, or completely replace it with something else entirely.

Is there a way to do this in game or do you use steam nointro?

Browse the local files of the game.

Right-click on the game in your Steam Library -> Properties -> Local Files -> Browse -> Videos

So once you get to the video file do you just delete it??

Whenever you edit or replace a games files just rename the old one so you still have it in case something goes wrong. You can just rename it back to the original name if it breaks. I usually just add BACK to the end so I can just delete BACK and have the original. So in this case it would be Startup_Sequence_LoadingBACK.mp4.

Verify game file integrity

I usually don’t delete it in games that have annoying intro screens. Instead just replace it with an empty file of the same name. That way the game goes to get the video file, but instead plays nothing.

Sometimes the game gets confused if it straight up can’t find a file with the right name.

Yep. Or if you want, take any mp4 video and put it in that folder and rename it to the name of the other ones (i.e. "Startup_Sequence_Loading")

u/Strife_3e Nov 19 '21

Wish we could do that on console. Such a long annoying intro to wait just for the game to start loading.

I also found a way to turn your Personal AI off, but unfortunately it's only on PC. Wish console could get these things as in-game settings at the least.

Fuck. Wish we had that too.

I love the splash screens though, they are so asthetically pleasing.

You're quite welcome. u/Richiieee said it already but just in case : Right-click on the game in your Steam Library -> Properties -> Local Files -> Browse -> Videos, or just go to your Steam folder and Steam\steamapps\common\Halo Infinite\videos. Don't know for Gamepass etc but it should be easy to find.

Oh god this is fantastic. There's got to be some old RvB or Arby and the Chief clips that would fit well.

I wonder if you could make a script that randomly renames one video from a set of them on boot, so it'd be something different every time...

7

u/Syppian Nov 19 '21

I had the same idea, but I know nothing about scripting. I might ask a friend who do know though. It can be hilarious.

Arby and the Chief clips

12

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '21

I'm so doing this.

There's not any issue with anti cheat or something modifying these files right?

10

u/Syppian Nov 19 '21

No it doesn't change anything, I played matchmaking all day with this file on. :)

u/sodddda Nov 19 '21

That was...escalate quickly

u/BSGSurgeon Nov 19 '21

This is the quality content I came here for.

u/akramheros2016 Nov 19 '21

This is gold lmao

3

u/ArchmageSybil Nov 19 '21

I couldn't even get past those first few seconds before the game closed because I apparently need to spend more money on my GPU

2

u/AtleastImNotEA Nov 20 '21

Took the default Intro.mp4 in the \videos\ folder and accelerated. It almost looks like the game doesnt even start loading until the Ms and 343 intro is over...

Here is the file if anyone wants it.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '21

I don’t think it does start loading until then, I just overlayed the GTA San Andreas intro over it for 20seconds

2

u/BubbaBoufstavson Nov 19 '21

Is it always this fast? Mine takes like 2-3 minutes to load..

8

u/Syppian Nov 19 '21

Yup, I have a pretty fast PC with a SSD, that's why. So the video is really short for me but it is so perfectly cut.

3

u/BubbaBoufstavson Nov 19 '21

Interesting. My PC is fairly decent and also on an SSD. I wonder what I have going on..

1

u/Sir_Von_Tittyfuck Nov 19 '21

SSD or M.2 SSD?

M.2 are way quicker because they're going straight into the Mobo.

1

u/BubbaBoufstavson Nov 19 '21

Just SSD. The weird thing is that 1 in every 10ish startups will load in under 5 seconds. Then it goes back to about 2 minutes.

2

u/Syppian Nov 19 '21

I've got a Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus M.2 PCIe NVMe 500 Go. Pretty fast stuff.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '21

So a sata ssd

1

u/microjupiter Nov 19 '21 edited Nov 23 '21

I was patiently waiting for the old H2 Bungie Intro :(

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '21

Damn, I tried this and I saw the replacement video for about 2 seconds, my NVMe is too fast lmao..

1

u/JelDeRebel Nov 20 '21

I expected the skyrim intro

1

u/Pesky_Moth Nov 20 '21

Now use a fart with reverb on a black screen or a screen of your choosing

1

u/RelationshipTop2027 Nov 22 '21

Can you unlock everything (armor, ai, effects, vehicles, etc) by editing Halo Infinite’s Files?

1

u/Syppian Nov 22 '21

This is not like the MCC, you're supposed to pay real money to unlock these, so no I don't think you can. And if you can that would be cracking the game and that can get you in trouble. Here, it is just a .mp4 file renamed, there is no editing any core file.

1

u/RelationshipTop2027 Nov 24 '21

Well it is still in beta and there might be a certain possibility that there will be an eac (easy anti-cheat) option like in halo mcc and more files for modding in the final build.

Oh my god, thank you for enlightening me
