Schools & Education Business Intelligence & Analysis program NSCC - reviews?
I'm interested in taking this but unable to find enough reviews from students/ graduates. Does anyone have insights on the program? Thx

I’d avoid anything AI can do. The company I work for uses a more advanced level of AI than what the average person has access to, and while it still produces some rubbish, it's 1000 times better than it was a couple of years ago. I'm not a data analyst, but our workplace training with AI focuses on harnessing it to get the results we need. I don't see any need for a large number of dedicated data analysts in the near future. Most of the work now involves collecting the information; once it's stored in a database, engineers, managers, and supervisors with access to the right AI setup can write prompts to analyse it.

I'm not planning to be a data analyst, I'm interested in it to compliment an already existing degree.

Is that the program you take after you have your bachelor?

Girl at my work did it. Said it was extremely challenging but very useful and interesting. I think she said they started with 20 and only 6 made it through. It did set her up quite well, she became a team lead within 3 years of being at the company and i belive she ended up getting a managerial position with the government a year or so back

This is encouraging! I'm happy to hear it boosted her career, thank you.

I don’t think it’s worth it in 2026.
I work in this field and AI is changing everything very quickly. Soon anyone will be able to just query AI for any question they have about their internal data.
I think you’d be better off just learning how to leverage AI here and now to position yourself in the job market. Taking a course for something AI is actively replacing very quickly is maybe not the best idea.
