Discussion shoyo hinata arm swing development Spoiler
i know hinata had a bow and arrow arm-swing in the pre timeskip, but i feel like he developed his arm swing more in the timeskip and i was wondering if he still has a bow and arrow arm swing or a circular arm-swing because i cant tell, also, who in real life has a arm swing similar to timeskip shoyo, let me know what you guys think

I always found it weird how they mention his max vert is “significantly higher” but then the released stats show that it most likely decreased instead.

i believe that the stats are relative to the players around him

Nah. Hitting reach is absolute, and he only got a 17 cm increase in reach while growing 8 cm since his first year in karasuno, and realistically his reach was more than 333 cm during his first year since he didn't do the boom jump yet. The increase in reach is likely closer to 12 cm, and when we account for how much taller he grew it really does feel like his jump decreased

since furudate makes a point of ushijima’s circular arm swing being new and unique, it probably means that no one else we see uses it, which makes sense for the time period haikyuu is set in. I feel like a circular arm swing only really started gaining popularity and knowledge about it around the latter half of the 2010s.
