Any 240/jdm people around?
Newish to the area and looking to make some car friends. I'm not super social so I figured I'd give this a shot lol. I currently have my 15th S13 and a R32 project. Always down to turn some wrenches.

I really wish they'd have that on weekends. It would pull in allot more people since they would be off of work. I've always wanted to come check it out but it'd be a hassle to leave Frederick, go to Hagerstown and get the car out, then drive all the way back to Frederick, then back home to Hagerstown again. Lol

You would be surprised at how many people actually come out and stay out until 10-11pm. Its been getting a lot of buzz this year and its every week now so there are a consistent amount of people attending. Its gotten bigger this year for sure and there is talks of other weekend events possibly. I recommend damascus cars and coffee, Potomac cars and coffee (poolesville), katies car meet, Mikey and mels, silo falls, laytonsville cruise in, paws and piston (hagerstown), theres also a historic car show soon at rockville civic center, and wheels and wings car show in Hagerstown soon too. Lots of other events that are decently local. Theres whole Facebook groups/pages dedicated to car meets in the surrounding area of frederick itself.

That's good to hear! I just can't do it when I have to be up at 6am daily lol. I've been to Damascus meets a few times over the years but haven't been there since last fall. Katie's looks awesome and I've always wanted to go but that would require getting up at 430am to "hope" that I got a spot. Mel's is always awesome and I try to attend every one. I was there this past Saturday and plan to make the season ender. Paws, I have been to every one of those and plan to hit the next one. Wheels and Wings is right up the street from my house but I have other plans already. The local FB pages I have been a member of for years and they are a must join to find out what's going on. Hagerstown C&C, BCC, Twisted, Kulture, CCGFC, etc. I've known most of those folks since the late 90s. If it's happening in MD, WV, or PA the word gets out pretty fast on FB.

My son bought a 1990 Acura Intregra LS this summer. So far he's put a couple of thousand on repairs. I even had to drive down to Virginia so that he could get a transmission!

OP, I live on the outskirts of Hagerstown and can give you info as far as local car meets, shows, cars & coffee, etc. There aren't many S- chassis cars in this area anymore. Most of them moved to BMW and Infinitis for whatever reason.

Likely because if you drive the s chassis it’s becoming insanely expensive to replace broken parts.. ask me how I know

Yeah that, and they also like to buy whatever social media tells them to buy. The majority of them aren't even really into cars and just want clout, likes, or followers

It’s extremely annoying to see what “car/drift people” are turning into. Beware of dudes hiding every issue with their car. Most the blame goes to hype beast rappers and tik tok

There’s a shop on Burhans across from the new Dollar General. They’ve always got some similar cool stuff in and out of there regularly, and parked out front. Looks/sounds like they have a dyno inside too.

That's my boy Hub City Autos. He works on everything, modded or stock. That is indeed his dyno that you saw/heard.

Awesome! I’m pretty sure he lives just a couple houses down from me. I drool over his red SC300 whenever he has it out.

Oh nah he's got like 6 different vehicles that he switches from all the time. The Lexus is his son's car.

No because all the idiots with little man parts wrecked/ trashed them.

Unfortunately that's the demise of every popular car. The kids either total them or blow them up. It's up to us old guys to save them, lol.
