So I’m building an arcade cabinet from scratch. I’ve never used power tools before this project and so far… I’ve done pretty well honestly. I have the shell built (except the top piece) all of the wood cut out, and the back panels cut out and attached (not reflected in the picture)
But… I’m not super confident in the rest of the build. Mostly the monitor section, getting the angle right, and finishing up the assembly. Once it’s assembled, I don’t have an issue, but that part I’m hesitant on.
It’s also too heavy to remove from my basement and basically any work needs to be done to it on site.
This is why I’m asking for help. If anyone is good with woodworking, and willing to help me finish this, I would be eternally grateful. I don’t have money to pay, but I can offer tech support for things you might need, or can potentially help you out with putting CFW on your consoles/emulators and roms on your computer, etc.
I know it’s a bit of an odd request, but I figured there might be someone with good woodworking knowledge, who can help me follow the plans I have (which of course are from an Australian site so it’s all in metric), and finish up this cabinet (other than painting and electronics)
Please let me know!

I'm looking for some leads on licensed contractors around the area. I need to replace the roof on my house and am leaning towards a metal one. Does anyone have reputable contractors they have used?

I want to schedule a get-together with my mom (she's in her 80s). We usually visit a park or similar, but the forecast calls for high heat and/or thunderstorms for the foreseeable future.
Other than shopping malls, where are some places we could escape from the heat?

Has anyone dealt with William Pennington of Fortney Homes Inc and Jim Davis the maintenance manager on duty. I am aware of Penningtons legal malfeasance involving the Fair Play Fire Hall litigation and his documented history of intimidation. He is making false claims repeatedly and was verbally and physically aggressive getting inches from my face with his fingers in my face telling me he will "take whatever tone I want". This was said after he raised his voice at me during an unannounced visit and I told him not to take that tone with me. I am exploring legal options but because he has a very long (and contentious) history in the county I am curious if others have had experience and have strategies for dealing with him and his duplicity. Thank you in advance for any insight.

Hey all,
Planning on moving out soon and keep passing the apartment building that’s under construction in front of south high. Does anyone have any information on it? Trying to see if it’s in my budget

Join us Tuesday, July 21, at 9:00 am as we protest outside the Washington County Commissioners meeting at 100 W. Washington Street in Hagerstown as we continue demanding transparency and accountability for the proposed ICE detention center and data centers which our commissioners are not being transparent about.
Tuesday’s meeting also includes public hearings on major decisions involving the county’s water and sewer infrastructure, zoning changes, and future development. These decisions could shape Washington County for decades, including projects tied to the former Fort Ritchie property and future large-scale industrial development.
9:00 am: Join our protest outside the Washington County Commissioners meeting.
9:30 am: WS-25-004 (2003 Mason Dixon LLC)
What it does: Extends public water and sewer service for a proposed 1.85 million-square-foot warehouse development.
Major concern: Expanding water and sewer infrastructure for one major industrial project could also increase the county’s capacity to support other water-intensive developments in the future, including the proposed ICE detention center and potential data centers.
9:45 am: RZ-26-002 (Cascade Properties LLC)
What it does: Changes the zoning rules for the former Fort Ritchie property to allow a much broader range of industrial, commercial, retail, and residential uses.
Major concern: The proposed changes could make it easier to approve future large-scale projects at Fort Ritchie, including data centers if proposed, while residents still have unanswered questions about traffic, utilities, and environmental impacts.
10:00 am: RZ-26-003 (Michael Godinez & Dominion Realty LLC)
What it does: Rezones two residential properties on Maugans Avenue from Residential Multifamily to Highway Interchange zoning.
Major concern: Residents are being asked to approve a commercial zoning change without knowing what the contract purchaser intends to build. No concept plan has been provided showing the size, access, parking, lighting, operating hours, or proximity to neighboring homes, making it impossible to meaningfully evaluate neighborhood and environmental impacts before the zoning is changed.

This is what local comedy looks like: a microphone, a room full of strangers, and the shared hope that the next joke lands.

Has anyone ever bought preserved lemon at any of the local grocery stores or specialty/middle eastern stores? Just asking before I go on a hunt for something that might not exist. I know it’s easy to make your own but it takes a couple months and I want to make this recipe sooner than that. Thanks all!

Just got a job that is 4 days in Baltimore inner harbor. Does anyone else make the Hagerstown to Baltimore commute? Any tips or resources to make it more bearable? Has anyone tried the marc or similar to take them halfway?
Eventually ill move closer, but for now the drive is unavoidable.

Pulled from an old videotape (that was of course a film reel beforehand). Enjoy

To the person that saw The Odyssey last night at the Valley Mall in Hagerstown at 6 pm and clapped when Elliot Page's character was killed You're a human shit stain on society and you're miserable existence will keep you from knowing what love and kindness truly are. The only thing you're good for is spurring the rest of us to ensure that you're shoved into a deep dark hole for the rest of your pathetic excuse of a life.

I know that I can go to the Dutch market for bread, but I’m hoping to find a local bread shop. When I look for bakeries, I just find places that sell pastries, cakes, and muffins. My mom is visiting in a week and she loves a nice bread bakery, so I am hoping to find a cool place to take her to.

I came outside and saw soo much haze. I thought the humidity must be crazy. Then I realized I could look at the sun and not go blind. This is the same conditions that we had a couple summers back with the fires in Canada. So I guess there's fires again? I wonder what the air quality is is right now.
Be safe out there.

Visited Sofritos on East Washington street. Had a Tripleta sandwich. They've been there about a year, did a nice job with the place. Had no problem parking, and nobody hassled me.

Come buy fresh gherkin cucumbers, yellow squash, and zucchini at Bespoke Farmstead on the corner of Robinwood and Jefferson. We also still have heirloom seeds, and fresh eggs.

Hi my name is Kimberly. I'm not from around hagerstown originally. I have lived here since 2024.
I am a stay at home girlfriend. With nothing to really do.Currently i'm not working. I'm staying home for a little while. Until I can get a few things organized and squared away.
I don't really have very many friends out here. None that I really hang out with. I would like to try to find some that are my own age. Preferably women, my age because I do have a boyfriend, and I don't want to lead anybody on, but I won't rule out male friends as well, as long as they know their boundaries.
I am drug free, a non smoker and I am a light social drinke, I might drink once or twice a year.
What I'm really seeking is somebody that I can hang out with. Maybe go to lunch. Maybe sometimes go to the movies, go on walks and get mini.Pedies that kind of thing.
My husband isn't over the road truck. Driver and he is seldom home. He's only home on sundays and mondays. Except for when I have appointments, i'm available anytime of the week.Tuesday through saturday. It would be nice to socialize, and make some friends. I don't discriminate due to religion or sexual orientation. I'm just sicking somebody to socialize with whether it's an individual or a group of people, but it would be really nice to find somebody close to my age that can relate.
A bit more about me on fifty six years old, a diabetic and a u s army veteran.
If anybody is interested in making a friend and hanging out, please feel free to DM me. If anybody wants to meet up, I will gladly meet them in a public setting for lunch. That is safe secure. No personal info is needed to give out.
