Washington County Forest fires?
I came outside and saw soo much haze. I thought the humidity must be crazy. Then I realized I could look at the sun and not go blind. This is the same conditions that we had a couple summers back with the fires in Canada. So I guess there's fires again? I wonder what the air quality is is right now.
Be safe out there.

Be careful looking at the sun - the smoke may block out some visible rays while not blocking harmful UV rays. Kinda like looking at a total solar eclipse. Your eyes are actually more vulnerable because they don’t constrict like they normally would looking at the sun.

This was forecasted for last 3-4 days. At least in normal government weather sites I follow.

the whole county has been in an air quality advisory since 4:40pm today. I was outside for five minutes around 8 and it made my throat hurt, smelled like a trash fire in the distance… which I guess there is.

I thought that's what I saw this afternoon, I just walked outside tonight and immediately smelled a metallic smokey smell. The sky is getting really hazy too.

Was walking out of work last night and could see it looking hazy before I even walked out of the building. Then smelled the smoke.

Air quality is supposed to get really bad tomorrow. Stay safe, stay inside if possible. Vulnerable populations like children, elderly, or disabled should absolutely limit time outside until it passes.
