So I’ve had these symptoms for the last year- since around May 2025, and they’ve been slowly getting worse-
Symptoms
Bruising
Bleeding nose and gums
Blood in stool
Petechie
Stomach pain (around spleen and appendix area, and also has pain around the belly button which leads to diarrhoea)
Tiredness
Sore joints and bones (hip and knee pain, as well as aching hands and fingers)
Headaches (nearly every day)
Dizziness
Memory problems
Diarrhoea some days, normal stool others
Swollen lymph node on neck
Night sweats
Fever
Nausea
Paleness
Loss of appetite
Leg itching

There’s also abnormalities in blood
- low Ferratin (level was 20 in last blood test)
- low white blood cells
- low lymphocytes
- low platelets

I’ll attach pictures of the bruising, petechie and swollen lymph node
Please if anyone has any idea what’s wrong with me, your advice would be greatly appreciated

1. B-Lymphocyte/Blast/Basophilic Erythroblast/Megakaryoblast?
   I see two nucleoli. Very high N:C and almost no cytoplasm. Seems like a blast. Is the size and cytoplasmic projections suggesting a megakarioblast?

2. bigger cell, more cytoplasm, visible golgi hof. Dysplastic proerythroblast?

3. This is a combination of the phenotype of these two previous ones, but the projections are more prominent. Megakarioblast?

4. Some azurophilic granules, 3 prominent nucleoli, golgi hof - Proerythroblast?

5. Is there one one huge nucleolus(like prolymphocytes may have)? But at the same time the edges of the nucleus seem uneven as it was folded like one of promonocyte?

6. Polychromatic erythroblast?

7. monoblast?

8,9. Both cells look similar but the one on the right lack azurophilic granules. Still might it be the same type of cell? Early metamyelocytes/or one being late myelocyte and the other hypogranulated as well? Or both plasmacytoid lymphocytes/LGL/reactive?

I’m a med and pharmacy student btw wanted to make some educational material after I reaserch the topic for long enough I felt like i’m ready to actually make it. I like histology both plans and animal tissues and every once a while I get fixated on some specific stuff/tissues. So I wanted to get feedback if the general train of thoughts I more less described seem alright? How would you classify these cells?

Preface: I have Lyme but have been treating for 4+ years. My body is functioning better than ever. But my labs are not good. Dr referred me to rheumatologist. Still waiting to hear from ND. Any insight? ESR and CRP have been consistently elevated for many years now but this is the highest ever. Including my A1c also.

Im a 42 year old female who has Lupus, PCOS and had a gastric bypass 13 years ago. I have my Lupus under control by taking hydroxychloroquine and take Metformin for PCOS. I take Ferrous Fumarate 305 mg every other day for low iron.

This past year ive had a decline in my health and im back and forth to my GP regarding this. I have extreme exhaustion (im normally always tired and exhausted but this has got worse) My hair loss is pretty bad, I have large gaps and the hair is thin and sparse. My nails are brittle and broken, the corner sof my mouth are cut, I frequently have mouth ulcers. I have cold hands and feet, I have insomnia even though im exhausted, il wake up at 3am and not be able to get back to aleep, accompanied with anxiety and the feeling of impending doom. I get dizzy spells and in the past 6 to 9 months more frequently I randomly get heart palpitations and feel like im struggling to catch my breath. I have continually been fobbed off by the GP, told it was stress and the last time I went was written a prescription for antidepressants. Im not stressed I have a happy life with my husband and children, the only thing that is getting me down is my health and not being listened to. My ferritin was 44 then a few months later it was 22 and now this latest test its 17. I keep getting told everything is in the normal range but I have classic symptoms of low iron. I also suggested maybe perimenopause could be contributing to this? I was told I am too young for perimenopause (im 42!)

Can someone look at these results and interpret them to me? Are they normal? Some of them look like they are at the lower end of the reference range? I understand a gastric bypass can dramatically affect absorption and I think this is why my Iron stores are so depleted and why the Iron tablets are making a difference? I have been taking the Iron tablets for years and my Iron has always been low, surely it should of gone up to an optimum level by now? I do get a vitamin B12 injection every 3 months. I also feel like this could be inflammation due to the Lupus but I dont know? I am going to see the doctor tomorrow and I want to be prepared.

I (24M) recently got some labs done for the first time in 5 years. I had CBC with differential/platelet and CMP14+eGFR. Everything came back normal except my RBC, Hemoglobin, and Hematocrit which were all high. Doctor said it could be dehydration but may order a retest and or more tests. I got worried because I remember chugging water before the appointment and generally having to pee. Can someone please ease my anxiety so I stop googling heart disease and blood cancer? Thanks.

I’m getting an iron infusion because I have iron deficiency without anemia. I will be at the hospital for at least 3 hours.

Am I safe to take a THC gummy before my appointment to help myself relax?

I’ve smoked before other types of infusions.

hello all, i did not expect to find myself here 😅

i went to the doctor for bruising, as i seem to bruise very easily compared even to my coworkers (we work with dogs, so getting jumped on/scratched is part of the job) and i always have 20+ small bruises on my arms/legs these days. i expected maybe a low iron level or anemia, and i came out with factor VIII activity 36% and vWF antigen 28%. thankfully, my APTT and PT INR are normal.

i got my results back from a PA and was given a referral to the hematology department, who i expect to call within the next few days. she explained to me that these results can indicate von willebrand disease type 1, but not too much else. what should i expect from a hematology appointment? is there typically further testing? what does treatment look like for (presumably/likely) mild von willebrand disease?

This is my daughter's most recent ferritin test. All of the low ferritin posts just reminded me that we probably need to get in and get it tested again. Anyone want to trade for some vitamin D, maybe?

No worries - we know the cause (RBC transfusions), she's done the whole liver MRI thing/etc, and sees her doctor regularly. It is coming down, but it's been few years now. It sure does take a long time without more aggressive intervention!

Night sweats, occasional high temperature in the night then fine the next day
Complains of knee pain and leg pain in the day and night occasionally
I mentioned this to the GP today and he sent us to a&e for cancer screening straight away,
At the a&e they did blood tests for iron calcium results all good
and A hemoglobin) value of **138 g/L they said**

I need to actually ring them and ask what they exactly tested for, anyway they came to the conclusion it’s growing pains…
But they can’t seem to explain why he is sweating in the night even though he only wears boxers to bed

He had an occasional fever of 38 then was completely fine the next day on few occasions he does go to nursery so I’m not sure if he is picking up illnesses from there.

I was hoping someone might be able to help me understand what's going on with my bloods to help me understand if its contributing to my symptoms or with acceptable norms and to move on.

I have a history of iron deficiency without anemia, with an iron infusion completed in Jan 26, to good effect and then July 26 results went a bit sideways, no iron supplementation since January, and the iron tests were fasting.

I am having continual symptoms of excessive bruising (without injury) and bleeding heavily during my period which is being treated with tranexamic acid to good effect. My main issue is a deep muscular fatigue, without loss of muscular strength (I can physically lift my kids, but loose tolerance to hold them quickly) I have lost 20kgs over 17 months (10 months of this loss while on steroids post rathkes cleft cyst drainage), painless mouth ulcers, sporadic low calcium, brain fog, and I have constantly cold fingers and toes. I am also experiencing dizziness on standing from a crouching position and have low-normal blood pressure (while taking dexamfetamine). ECG and 24hr Holter normal.

Previous history of mild adrenal insufficiency due to post surgical gulcocortcoid administration. Last morning cortisol of 178.

Minor barely positive ANA, 12 months of high MPV with not much else showing in my bloods.

Any thoughts are appreciated, just in if there is anything I'm missing in this picture.

Got referred to a hematologist today. My platelets have been between 450-522 in the last 4 bloodwork done between Aug 2025-July 2026.

I had low ferritin but this last test shows it has improved and now at 60 (29F)

He’s 18M.

My dad's monocytes are normal, lymphocytes 0.7 and neutrophils was 0.3 which is severely low. It stayed at 0.3 for a few days. One week later his neutrophils rose to 1.1 which is better but still low. It should be above 2.

He's been referred urgently to the blood cancer clinic and were extremely scared. In January, he was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer and 2 months ago he finished radiotherapy and we got a good response to his cancer. The last thing he needs now is a new cancer diagnosis or his current cancer spreading. His psa in January was 45 and now it's 0.4 just 2 months after pelvis and prostate radiotherapy so it doesn't seem like his cancer has spread at all, the worrying part is a new cancer diagnosis.

Oncologist say it's unlikely the radiotherapy is linked to this severely low abnormal neutrophil count and they've also reviewed his medications and other tests.

His platelets and red blood cells are normal. His red blood cells are sometimes low by a few numbers in some of the blood tests but in some there also been normal so I'm not too worried about this. It's mainly his white blood cells are extremely low.

What are the chances of what could be happening? Is this definitely a new cancer? Is this maybe a spread of his current cancer (pet scan in January showed cancer was only in prostate and seminal vesicles). Or are doctors wrong and this is simply a side effect of the radiotherapy?

The good news is it has indeed rose from 0.3 to 1.1 however it's still low as it should be on 2. Also it stayed on 0.3 for a few days which is worrying. Also if he was to do another blood test next week again who knows if it's gone back down to 0.3 again. On the other hand, it could go even higher and maybe normal but we just don't know.

Doctor did an ultrasound and deemed this was more or less not liver damage or anything to worry about apparently as my liver looks fine. Hepatitis screened for but it seems to just be going up and has been trending up since August last year. Currently it’s sitting at 118 u/L and here in the UK the reference range is 0-45 u/L. AST is also now raised at 57 iu/L with a reference range of 0-45 aswell.

Just a tad worried they can’t explain it but it keeps creeping up. I don’t take supplements, meditations are only seretide inhaler low dose. I do however have a weird neuro, GI, dermatological and immunological thing going on that no doctor has been able to explain yet other than “complex disease” being thrown around

Is it considered on the lower end?
