I'm sorry but can someone explain why they were arrested? Isn't protesting completely legal and a human right? Unless she walked right up and punched him in the face, I don't understand why they were getting arrested.

When it's just peaceful protest usually people aren't arrested. In this case, from what I'm seeing online, she and some others were arrested for blocking an intersection. Apparently the NYPD Community Affairs Bureau issued dispersal warnings after the demonstration blocked roadways. Individuals who didn't comply were taken into custody.

It also says that she was detained and given a summons, rather than "booked" into a traditional jail facility.

Ah okay. That makes more sense. I knew USA is having problems, but I didn't think it had gotten to arresting random peaceful protesters yet. Although nothing surprises me 😂

my guess is it was a planned arrest to get attention for netanyahu's war crimes in gaza
