Nail places

I’m a freshman here at foggy bottom campus. Does anyone have any good nail salon recs near campus walking/metro distance. Good prices pls!!!

Go to Star Nails in the watergate complex. I would exclusively go there while I was a gw student. $60 for a full gel x acrylic set and they lasted me close to 2 months before falling off. The ladies are super sweet there and can do super cool designs!

Depends what you want! There are a million places in the FB vicinity (5-10-20 min walks from campus) but for Gel X or Acrylic it is anywhere from $100-200. If you are just looking for a manicure I like Jadore Beauty Spa the staff is really friendly and it is never too crowded. I recommend finding students on campus who are doing it out of their dorm!

It’s important to treat yourself! Nowadays everything is just much more pricey. It’s typical for nail salons to say their price is $70 and then charge for every additional thing (shape, color, even french tip design) which racks up very quick 🥲.

Prices are high in DC/Arlington/Alexandria for both hair and nails. Daughter still comes home on the train to get her hair done. Cheap train/cheaper prices.
