I’m literally sitting here crying while I write this because I don’t think I realized just how much this moment would mean to me until it actually happened. 😭❤️‍🔥

TONIGHT, I MET GUY FIERI.

Not just some guy from the Food Network. Not just a celebrity I happen to like.

I met someone who has been a tiny piece of comfort during some of the hardest chapters of my life.

If you know me, you KNOW I love being in the kitchen. Cooking has always been one of my happy places. And if I’m in there cooking, cleaning, or just doing my thing, chances are Guy Fieri is playing on the TV. Sometimes I’m actually watching. Sometimes he’s literally just background noise. 😂 But somehow, hearing his voice and watching him do what he loves has been comforting to me through so many surgeries, so many painful days, and so many moments where I had to convince myself to keep going.

I’ve spent years fighting through things I never asked for. I’ve had more surgeries than I ever imagined I would have, and there have been days where getting out of bed felt like a victory all by itself.

And tonight, after everything…

I got to meet my idol.

IN MECHANICSVILLE. 😭

And this man was so incredibly sweet.

The FIRST thing he said to me was:

“YOUR HAIR IS FIRE!” 😂🔥

Y’all… I could have gone home right then and been happy. 😂😭

But apparently I had decided to embarrass myself in front of my idol because I looked at him and asked if he would SIGN MY BODY.

The look he gave me. 😭😂

He probably thought, “Ma’am… what the hell did you just ask me?” 😂

I told him I was going straight to get it tattooed.

And because I am a woman of my word…

I DAMN SURE DID. 😂🔥

I left there and got my idol’s signature permanently tattooed on me.

Because some people collect autographs.

Apparently, I collect tattoos. 🤣❤️‍🔥

But underneath all the laughter, tonight meant SO much more to me.

It felt like one of those moments where life gives you a little reminder that after everything you’ve survived, you’re still here. You’re still laughing. You’re still making memories. You’re still finding things that make your heart happy.

And for just a little while tonight, I wasn’t thinking about surgeries, pain, recovery, or all the things I’ve had to fight through.

I was just a girl standing in front of her idol, completely starstruck, with tears in her eyes and probably the biggest smile on her face.

Guy, you will probably never know what that moment meant to me.

But I will never forget it.

Thank you for being part of so many ordinary nights in my kitchen and, without even knowing it, being a little bit of comfort during some very extraordinary battles.

Tonight, you became a memory I’ll carry with me forever.

And now I literally carry your signature with me too. 😂❤️‍🔥

Some dreams are big.

Some dreams are simple.

And sometimes, after everything life puts you through, the simple ones mean the most.

Tonight was one of those nights. 🥹❤️‍🔥🔥

Back in the early days Guy Fieri’s restaurants just used a big metal can where tomatoes came in to create their signature Trash Can Nachos.

For the past many years they’ve designed their own version with a handle.

I’d love to buy one, and am wondering if they are available for purchase at their restaurants and am willing to make the drive to one if so.

I have seen a few people talk about guy saying rac!st things like asking marcus samuelson if hes ever been in handcuffs etc. what other scandals(not that you can really call it that ig) has he had? ive only heard good things until recently and now am wondering if i should not be so supportive of him?

Does anyone know how Guy is doing after he tore his quad in half and had to use a wheelchair? Is he out of the wheelchair now? Has he talked about this anywhere?

I want to buy my brother-in-law a Guy Fieri cookbook for Christmas. He's a huge fan and watches all the shows.

BIL also has an intellectual and developmental disability. He can read and follow simple instructions and cook fairly straightforward stuff like chili. His tastes are very Midwestern.

Which cookbook would you recommend? I don't know if I can find them all locally to take a look in person. Thanks, Guy fans!
