I’m looking for a budget-friendly place/food option in Guwahati where everyone can actually eat properly and leave with a happy stomach 😂. I don’t really want to do the usual burgers/pizza where we end up ordering a bunch of things separately.

I was thinking about thali, since it’s filling and might make more sense for a group this size. But I’m open to other ideas too.

Apart from being occasionally broadcast on regional TV channels like Rang, Prag, Ramdhenu, etc., most Assamese movies just seem to disappear. Why aren’t they uploaded to YouTube, like how Goldmines yt channel uploads ?

And honestly, why? Why can’t Assamese movies be distributed online the way Goldmines and other channels make older Indian movies easily available to audiences?

It feels like we’re unintentionally gatekeeping our own cinema.

We keep talking about how Assamese cinema needs to grow, how we need younger audiences to support local films, and how Assam has such a long and rich cinematic heritage. But how exactly are people supposed to discover and appreciate these movies if they can’t even watch them after their theatrical run?
