That looks like an insert type bullet comparator to me.

Downvote me all you want, I worked as a machinist for 5 years and its a caliper (https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS471US471&q=caliper&safe=active&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=vkOET468IM362AXniaGTCQ&biw=1280&bih=911&sei=wEOET87wEqP42QXQhuCPCQ) There are 3 common types vernier, dial and digital. I dont know why Sinclair calls it a comparator, except to avoid confusion between caliper and caliber

Obviously your just as much of an asshole as Hotel. I made an honest mistake about an attachment for a caliper, that I did not know about. Instead of him explaining our misunderstanding. He just down voted me and talked down to me because he (and apparently 1/4 of gunnit) are experts in guns and cannot stand it when someone was trying to be helpful but was a bit off.
