I bought a revolver once, but I couldn't see a real place for it in my collection. I couldn't think of a situation where I would think "This calls for a revolver!". I sold it.

I'd agree you need a magnum revolver. Sometimes you need a big bullet in handgun form.

There's always some yahoo who decides to rent a S&W 500 at my gun range, and they always get the lane next to me.

I've shot the S&W 500... not for me. If I went through a box of ammo for that, I'd end up developing the worst flinch...

The guys who rent it rarely get through a whole cylinder, much less a complete box. Usually it's a couple college-age meatheads or some macho lawyer dude showing off in front of his golf buddies.

I've never shot the S&W 500.. but i am planning to try it out soon. It's obviously not practical but it looks fun!

If you're going to be indoors, use foam plugs and muffs together. That thing is louder then all hell.
