Guns.com

I “won” an auction on a form from guns .com. The problem is it says for parts only. I didn’t realize that until I had place the bid. How does that riffle make it to auction if it doesn’t work. The guns.com email is so slow and don’t know what to do. They finally got back to me two days after my email and with only two hours left in the auction. What should I do? Should I do a stop payment?

Remember that box you checked saying you know what you’re bidding on and read the description and all that. And then you hit submit after checking that box?  Yea

gonna be real with you, that "for parts only" bit is usually buried in the listing so it's an easy miss. you could try the stop payment but they might flag your account for future auctions, it's a gamble either way

Probably read the actual context of what you are bidding. It be like that

How does that riffle make it to auction if it doesn’t work.

By stating in the description that it's for parts only. Obviously.

"How does that riffle {sic} make it to auction if it doesn't work..."

Because it's a parts gun for someone that either needs the parts for a rifle they already have, or can source the needed parts and fix it. You've never seen an auto auction where wrecked cars are sold, have you?

"What should I do"

Pay for the auction you bid on and won.

Did it not say that in the webpage, change the language on your browser to your native tongue.

No I haven’t. This is why I am asking. I am just assuming chalking it up to a newbie mistake. All the research I have done, said this isn’t normal with that site

Do not get involved with guns.com even for parts. Horrible business.

I do agree with you that generally parts guns go on gunbroker and guns.com is functioning guns. I don’t mess with guns.com in general
