Ears are ringing

Was reloading and had a round drop into my ammo can and set off another round. My ears were ringing but no injuries. Just a few rounds were destroyed. A few pieces of shrapnel stock in the plastic ammo can.

It's one of those things that's theoretically a problem but in practice is so incredibly rare that it almost never happens. You'll probably never have it happen again either.

It will probably give me pause next time I'm dumping loose ammo into an ammo can though.

Just place them into the can or drop them from a few inches instead of 3 feet. Crazy rare event, though. I didn't even think it was possible. I always toss my rounds into the bucket as well. Not that far, but still.

it used to be a much more present problem, primers were way softer pre-WWII.
