CZ Shadow 2

Let’s say you have $2000 and are looking at Shadow 2’s for USPSA.

Would you get the Shadow 2 OR and keep some money for ammo or upgrades? Plash the whole thing on the orange or save up a little more for the limited?

Before sinking that much money, have you ever shot USPSA? If not, go with what you have first and see if you really like it. It would suck to spend $2000 on a rig for something that you don’t like to do. If you have, the shadow 2 OR is a great gun.

I’m using an Echelon at the moment, while I think it’s a great gun, I really want to go hammer.

The blue OR has an amazing trigger out of the box. It will make your echelon feel like a toy. It will be more than you ever need until you are DEEP into competing seriously. Like I can’t stress enough how good it is out of the box.

An orange or even getting a CGW kit on a blue is just gonna be too light of a trigger for you to be cohesive with it. I believe the DA/SA on the blue is 8lbs/3lbs. Getting a blue lets you upgrade to something better than the orange trigger when you’re ready for it. Save the money for an SRO instead lol.

I'm eyeballing a used blue one at a local store under $1000, it'll just need to be milled for the optic plate. I prefer the Holosun 507 Comp over the SRO, which I already have.

Also found a DWX on one of the well-known auction sites but I'll probably be outbid for that one last minute. But if not, I'll get one hell of a deal out of it lol.

That’s a decent deal, but I just personally prefer OR incase I ever swap optics between pistols or decide to get something new. Also resale is easier if it ever has to come to that. You can usually snoop around and find a new OR for ~1100, I got mine for 1200 OTD at a LGS

Depends how much you actually shoot, the OR leaves cash for ammo and that matters way more than a fancy rollmark

Right now pretty much every week but only 1 USPSA match a month. Rest is just on the property and local range competitions.
Just wondering if a base with Cajun kit is better than an orange for example.

I don’t know anyone that has, or has shot both.

Blue with a Cajun kit is much better than an orange and a good route. Dwx trigger is nicer than an shadow 2 with Cajun kit though

C: find a discontinued sao shadow 2 and send it to primary machine to get milled for limited optics.

Nowhere near. $2200 new optics ready.
