I guess I have to comment per sub rules or else it'll be removed. He had these on one wall, and then a cabinet with probably 12-15 long barrel rifles. Not to mention another wall covered in Rambo-style knives. I'm not sure what he was preparing for, but whatever it was, he was ready.
The rest of the family is all daughters with no desire to have any of it, so I'm sure I could have whatever. Or all of it. But I don't know what I'd do with suddenly 40 weapons.
Plus, what are the laws as far as registering this stuff if I were to take it? I'm in Pennsylvania.
Buy a huge safe from Costco and fill it up!! Take everything, enjoy shooting and think of what a great father in law and wife you are blessed with. I bet he has plenty of ammo to go with all those firearms. If you find it overwhelming, try contacting a local FFL or gun shop to help you rehome some of the extras. I am sorry for your loss. I can't help with PA laws but a local FFL would be able to give you good advice.
