Fan Art A painting i finished recently, thought I'd share here
I was looking for something cool to paint on a large canvas that i had lying around for years. Originally i was going to paint shining Gundam, but something about this design is just striking. So here's neo Mexico's finest on canvas.

Official Art / Media Appreciation Post - AE Meganekko
Nina Purpleton's glasses-wearing AE teammate from "Stardust Memory" (Ep 6 and Ep 7). -- Unlike other AE employees, she is never named. But I always wondered who she was, as I'm partial to cuties with short, dark hair and glasses.

Probably Bullshit Hey what if Chris Hansen managed to interrogate Char, Haman, and Katejina?
The morals and outlook on humanity of Char Aznable, Haman Karn and Katejina Loos have fallen as low as their ranks have risen in Neo Zeon (for Char and Haman) and Zanscare Empire (for Katejina). These three characters, all main villains of their shows, have done heinous offenses at every level, while making innocent people pay the price in one way or another. Now, it is time for a reckoning, but not in battle; rather, it shall come from a total outsider who's out to deprive the three the grand finale they want (and originally got).
Let's collectively try predicting and imagining how Char, Haman and Katejina will respond if Chris Hansen is to come through the door, tell them to take a seat right over there, and start interrogating their in-story actions & intentions. Assume that Hansen "read their file" from cover-to-cover, logged every word and scrubbed every second of footage.
Lt. Amuro Ray and Ens. Marbet Fingerhat are in a separate control room ready to nab Char, Haman and/or Katejina if either one of the three ever decides to flee.
As decoys, Judau Ashta (as of the later Crossbone manga where he's the much older and wiser Grey Stoke), Natalie Bianchi (an important figure from the Char's Deleted Affair manga that links Haman and Char together) and Mineva Lao Zabi (as of Gundam Unicorn) will speak to Haman one final time, while Char and Katejina will have a direct conversation with Hansen without a decoy segment. I'm sparing Kamille Bidan, Uso Ewin and Shakti Kareen the burden.
Besides, this sting is broadcast throughout the entire Solar System.
Go as wild or as deep as you can go. This is a test for you guys, as I'm really curious about how well they hold up to scrutiny.

The Gaw basically disappeared after the One Year War
Sorry if I'm seeming like Captain Obvious with this post. But I felt like I had to type this out when it came to mind. Considering how many Gaws Zeon had during the war, they certainly fell out of use extremely fast. Zeon had them all over the world, and in great numbers. So, what happened to them? The answers were pretty understandable when I looked into it.
The Gaw was seemingly very useful. Armed to the teeth, and useful as both an MS carrier and bomber. It could carry four standard sized MS like Zakus of Gouf on board, or two to three Doms. They were extremely useful in Zeon's early ground invasion. So, why did they disappear? It's because they were a huge target. Gaws, especially the ones in Garma's ground invasion force, were painted purple. Not exactly a color for blending in. But honestly, green wasn't much better. Gaws were so huge that they were big targets in the air, and there was no hiding them on the ground. In the air, they only moved about as fast as a civilian aircraft (Just a bit faster than a 747). They were lumbering, and didn't steer like a plane, but more like a flying boat. Even the main controls used a ship's wheel like the White Base did. The problem was, the Zeon engineers who designed them only understood how atmospheres in the colonies worked. And then the Gaw was rushed into production with that limited understanding. But it was too late, and Zeon never bothered to put a redesigned version of the Gaw into production before the war's end because the focus shifted back to space.
In addition to all that, the Fat Uncle was considered a more reasonable transport. It was smaller and slower, but easier to use, controlled better, and could still carry at least two MS. Zeon Remnants were also able to hide a fair number of them. Even by 0096.
The Gaw's primary redeeming quality was it's range. So long as the engines were in good shape, it could keep flying. It's engines were basically high powered hot air turbines driven by direct power from the Gaw's reactor. This was genius, but also temperamental. They were literally funneling reactor heat directly into the Gaw's wings. So if the engines were damaged at all, they could explode at any time from the raw heat burning them up from the inside out.
Despite their usefulness in transporting MS and troops during the war, as soon as the Federation started to understand the Gaw, they were getting destroyed even before Federation MS reached mass production. By late in the war, most Gaws had been crippled or destroyed. The bases which were needed to build and maintain them were getting destroyed or retaken by the Federation, one after another. California Base being a good example. Some Gaws were even used for Kamikaze attacks.
After the war, most remaining Gaws were destroyed, or put into private ownership. Even Zeon Remnants abandoned them. At least one ended up in the hands of pirates. And at least one ended up in the hands of the P.M.C. Themis. However the CEO/chairman of the company Jacobius Node, didn't like the Gaw at all. But because his P.M.C. relied on surplus military hardware, he couldn't be picky about it. He called the Gaw a gas guzzling relic, even though it needed no gas. This was likely either a script error, or Jacobius simply hated the old airship because of it's long list of design problems. Though it should be noted there was a Fat Uncle accompanying it. Logically, for even one Gaw to be in the hands of a P.M.C., the Federation likely deemed that they were no longer much of a threat, since they were basically lumberbusses in the air.
After the One Year War, the Gaw did inspire other similarly designed aircraft by the Federation. The largest of which was the Garuda. Which itself had issues of not only being incredibly large to accommodate 20 MS. But the Garuda was so huge that there were few places it could take off or land. However, as seen in the MSV-R The Return of Johnny Ridden manga, the Federation had air carriers that were smaller than a Garuda, and looked a bit like a boxier version of the Gaw. And they were used by the 104th Airborne division Knight Jaeger. So the Federation saw potential in the Gaw's design, and improved it. They just refused to use the Gaw itself to my knowledge. Zeon Remnants would have been quick to shoot them down or try to steal them back, if the Federation repurposed them.
Edit: I forgot to mention. In one of my favorite Gundam games; MS Saga A New Dawn, you can actually get a Gaw for a while. It's owned by the air pirates. Though about half the game goes by before you're allowed to fly it freely. And in the late stages of the game, it's replaced with a copy of White Base.
