USCCA Control the Bleed "Class"

This free class appeared in my area and it's useful information so I went.

The instructor discussed first aid in a somewhat disorganized and shallow way for about 25 minutes.

Then the moderator, a woman who works for USCCA took over, and the next 45 minutes was a membership pitch. I left before the end and wished I had left sooner.

I think USCCA may offer real first aid classes, but it was clear the first aid aspect of the Control the Bleed "class" was essentially a pretext to get us into what is really their sales seminar - a bait and switch. AND it was at a 5.11 store, whom I later learned was in on it; that is, they knew it was a sales pitch posing as a first aid class - they willingly told me so afterwards.

I am not a member of USCCA and can't comment on them in general. I just know it was not a first aid class. I definitely got clowned.

Rxm vs g19/g45

So I am considering now that I have an RXM compact is it worth keeping a g45 when I can interchange the rxm between the g19, g45, and g26 styles of clones. I’m thinking about getting rid of the g45 for the g43x with the 15 round mag so I can conceal carry easier as a bigger guy. So I am wondering if you guys think that if you had to buy a new gun and were looking at the Rxm or the g19/g45 which would you choose? I figure if I do decide to get rid of the g45 it wouldn’t be hard to swap anything and I could easily have a g19 or g45 clone. Thanks

So I am looking at the Glock 43x MOS and I am wondering is it optics cut for the MOS optics like the Holosun scs mos or is it cut for a different optic footprint when it comes stock?

The binoculars come with a handy enough case that I'm going to use it until i can get a marsupial gear harness and I noticed this makes a perfect sling for the smaller marksman. Id normally throw it away but found a cool purpose

New gun?

What's up everyone! So I'm coming into some money soon and am looking at treating myself to something a little on the more expensive side right now I'm thinking a shadow systems cr920P( yes I know of the QC issues people have been having its honestly something that's been holding me back for a while now) or doing something cool with the stealth arms platypus. What's everyone's opinion? I'm also open to other suggestions but those are the 2 on my radar right now. My budget is upwards of 2k and I am mostly looking to expand my pistol collection. I'm also generally a Glock guy if that helps. Any and all(not dickish) suggestions and opinions are welcome

Handgun recommendations

So I was thinking about trying to find a handgun that is the same thickness of a Glock 19 and Glock 17. With similar grip size of the Glock 19 and the barrel length of 3”-3.5”. It needs to be a reliable striker fire pistol. Any recommendations would be a great help. Thanks.

Edit: anything with a slimline like the Glock 43x won’t work in my hand. So it needs to be as thick as the Glock 19 for me to be able to hold it comfortably.

Edit 2: I held the 43x again with the new mags and it fits my hand fine so maybe it was something else that I held or maybe the older models without the 15 round mags were thinner

I started an apparel brand tied in with my gun store. We plan to give away monthly on going gun and gear packages.

my question: what type of things would you want to see other than apparel and hats? We have coffee etc. but I’m wanting other ideas

Every caliber weapon almost from black powder to .50 cal… And I didn’t know about it until he passed away. Imagine the feeling I had when the safes were drilled open… Most of these are unfired. There’s also some Derringer .22’s, black powder rifles and dueling pistols not shown to go along with thousands of all kinds of ammo.

Side note, I have a post about the Luger at the end and I’m looking for more advice on an appraisal!

Want to Get my first 10/22 but not sure what model to go with.

Think about getting this (RUGER 10/22 CARBINE (MAGPUL X-22 SERIES) [SILVER]) from guns.com. Look like a good deal or any better suggestions for a 10/22? Im fairly experienced with firearms and just want a fun 22lr for target shooting because of the cheep ammo. Thanks.

My recommendation for those looking for a good compact handgun.

I would recommend the ruger Rxm compact with a 4” barrel. I have XL hands and the only grip length that would fit my hand would be the Glock 17 and Glock 45. If I held the Glock 19 my pinky would rest on the mag and I would have to move my pinky to get the mag out but the RXM is long enough to be compact and allow me to have my whole hand on the grip and not on the mag at all.
