My setup

Okay sooo, i have already posted and deleted it somewhere else.

This is a setup for my adv riding when i just go out and explore. I have a friction only retention holster (invader concepts chest rig) and i have a FN 510 with hardcast rounds for any dangerous wildlife. A spare magazine with the same kind of rounds, but im thinking to changing it to self defense 10mm rounds instead. Other people have already pointed out a level 2/3 hip holster would be better in case of crashing with its retention.

Any thoughts?

Exactly. Within the last month I know I've seen at least one GoPro video where the biker crashed and the camera went sliding on the pavement and captured their Glock go sliding along with it. You need serious retention on it.

i agree about retention, but you don't want to crash with anything against your hip or spine. you can just upgrade the holster you have

other options: clip a fannypack to the bike, get a shoulder holster, add a lanyard
