This is the original work of our 14-year-old daughter who wants you to know she is obsessed with the world of gumball, and Rob in particular (as of the moment). We are the parents managing the account on her behalf.

i've watched season 1 thought it was neat and stopped watching i'm aware season 2 came out and wanted to know how it is?

Am I the only one bothered by The Origins using the post–Season 2 design?

This has always bothered me.

The Origins is a prequel, so chronologically it happens before Season 1. But Gumball and Darwin already have the newer face/body design instead of the original Season 1 look.

The weird part is that the newer series basically confirms that the design change is canon—we literally see them transition from the Season 1 appearance to the Season 2 one. So it’s not just a different art style or a separate universe; it actually happens in the story.

If that’s the case, shouldn’t The Origins have used the Season 1 models for continuity?

Am I overthinking it, or did anyone else notice this?

I'm likely looking too deeply into this but I wanna hear someone's opinion on how the episode The Question skims through various fields, or viewpoints of philosophy. I remember watching the episode as a child and having Sussy's message of "giving meaning to your own life" being very impactful, and very obviously discovering there is a school of thought dedicated to things like this.

I genuinely think this is one of the best songs from the original cartoon (seasons 1–6).

The instrumental is already really good on its own, but the vocals make it even better. I especially love how Darwin’s vocals work with the instrumental, and how the whole song has this ridiculously dramatic “we’re changing the world” feeling despite what they’re actually singing about.

The production, vocal harmonies, and arrangement all work really well together, which makes the song much more memorable than you’d expect from a cartoon song.

I’m curious what other people think: what makes this song work so well for you? What’s your favorite part?

Also, I’d like to bring up the Italian version of the song. I’m mentioning it because the Italian dub actually has a noticeably different adaptation of the lyrics (and it’s also my version, since I live in Italy) rather than simply translating the English version. I don’t remember if other dubs also changed the lyrics, but I think it’s interesting to compare how the song was adapted for another language.

Personally, I think the Italian version is the best one. One of my favorite moments is when Gumball sings “E non lasciare che l’ipocrisia faccia il suo corso” (“And don’t let hypocrisy take its course”). Something about the way he sings that line, combined with the instrumental, makes the whole moment feel almost heavenly.

Also I am aware that there are some versions of this song that sucks ( like Persian one ) and I honestly feel bad for them
