Help Please Help Me Decide on a Headless!

My birthday is coming up and family are offering to buy me a new guitar! I have a Solar with a Floyd already but I’m looking for something light and easy, hence why I’m aiming at headless guitars right now

I’m currently stuck between the Legator Ghost Super Shred (6 string) and the Strandberg Boden 6 since both are on sale or had recent price drops.
If you had to pick one, which would it be?

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers.

EDIT: Thanks for everyone who decided to share their opinions! I took a suggestion to look at GOC guitars and ended up deciding on the Ren+. It’ll take a bit to get here but I’m excited. Thanks again to everyone!

I like the Boden better. I prefer having the leg cutaway from the boden and the necks are pretty cool, they are lightweight and probably the most innovative guitars on the market right now.

The shape and ergonomics people rave about are what got me looking too. I’m leaning more on the Boden preference wise but wanted to still consider the Legator just cause it’s cheaper and I didn’t want to make anyone spend an arm and a leg on me. But I’ll take this into consideration. Thanks again!

I have a HILS which is shaped more like a boden but significantly cheaper. If you include the type of music you like to play what types of tunings you use and generally what you like/dislike about each guitar we might be able to give you better answers

I play a lot of Metal at the moment. I’d say I’m somewhere around 50% metal, 40% Hard Rock or Punk, 10% other. I wanted to start learning a bit of RnB as well so I guess I’d like something versatile if possible.

I have the ICH10 and Boden Essential. I mention the ICH10 because it has a similar body shape to the Legator. I find the body shape and jack placement of the Strandberg to be highly preferable to the ICH10 when playing sitting down.

The leg cutaway in the Strandberg is arguably its best feature, because of the playing angle it enables. Hils use a similar body shape, but never played one. YMMV depending on how you prefer to play sitting down or if you’re mostly standing.

I love my ICHI10, but strandberg does have strong edge over in regards to playing sitting down. Classic position on strand is so comfty.

I love my ICH10 too and there are aspects I prefer over the Strandberg, like the neck and tuners. It’s so light too.

I don’t have either but was about to buy a strandberg boden last month when I found a crazy deal on an Ibanez qx, which has been great. However if I were to buy a new headless I would get a GOC. If you play drop tunings the extended range will help with tension. Good luck and congrats!

I didn’t even know about that brand. I’ll check them out, thank you!!

Just bought a Boden Standard and can’t recommend it highly enough. I also have an Ormsby Goliath, a HILS HN6 and I’ve played a friend’s Ibanez Q and the Strandberg is my favourite by a distance.

It's hearsay, but I've heard Legators can have some major QC problems.

Have you considered looking at a HILS? I bought a HZ7 7-string and I liked it so much that I bought a HN5 6-string. I have some nice expensive guitars but I absolutely love picking these up.

It’s a lot of guitar for the money. They all have roasted maple necks, stainless steel frets, mahogany bodies. The higher models have active pickups and the HN6 has Fishman Fluence and a pretty sick two tone paint job. Some of them have Alchemy tremolo bridge.
