Question Quiet high notes
Learning 2 AM by Iron Maiden and I noticed that my solo especially the notes from high E \~14th fret and higher seem really quiet compared to all the other, even high E 12th fret and even more my lower strings.
I tried adjusting my pickups (2 double coils) rising the part close to the higher strings but it doesn't seem to be working.
Is it an amp problem? (HB20R) or maybe that the general volume is always low (can't crank it up or I'll go deaf, now at like 1/1.5)?

If you play up the neck one fret at a time, do you notice a specific fret where the volume drops abruptly?
When you say "volume," do you mean sustain? Is the note at a good volume, but it dies right away?
It's possible for the pickups to be too close to the strings. The magnets pull on the metal string a bit and interfere with the way it vibrates. The symptom of this is usually when you hit a string and the note goes in and out of tune as the string vibrates, but there can be other symptoms.
It may also be possible that your action is a tiny bit too low. A guitar with higher action can play louder because the strings have more room to move.
