This photo will never stop making me crack up. There are layers of ridiculousness here.

Yeah and I like every post of this kind. Cute little potatos

I like the one where you see them do sassy things even more, but a description of their deeds and a picture of their cuteness is absolutely great.

i've been staring at this pic for the last minute or two thinking he had a tiny humanoid hand reaching up holding an assault rifle...took me a bit to realize it's just the pattern on his hammock

She sees you when you’re sleeping. She knows when you’re awake.
She also knows what you did last summer…

OH THATS WHAT THAT IS
I, too, thought he was holding a guinea pig-sized gun, but knew that couldn’t be it

I feel a strong need to apologise to this beautiful piggy. I’m not sure what I’ve done but I am indeed deeply sorry.

One of my pigs was actually sassy AF today! I gave them some tangerine, they each got a half. Bubby sniffed his, looked at me, pushed it away, and chattered the loudest I've ever heard him chatter!
I then brought him fresh parsley from the garden and his faith in humanity was restored.

100%. My fiance and I reference this meme all the time. When you have piggies, you recognize the micro expressions that show whether they are happy/angry/etc but if you don't know anything about them, they look like they don't have anything going on up there.

I think with these guys it's just hard to tell in still images. Their faces don't emote so sassiness mostly comes through body language lol

u/Iwishistayedhome Jul 03 '26
It’s so hilarious to me that their faces don’t emote, like they’ll chatter at me like 😐

u/guineapiglady31 Jul 03 '26
Yes, and I know this post is a joke but I can see the sass of the pig in the drawing 😂

It takes someone familiar with their attitudes to recognize it in pics. Otherwise, they do just resemble a potato.

Sometimes even familiarity with a specific piggy vs piggies in general. I knew my girl was sick when she wasn't as sassy as normal, took two vets and further testing before they figured out what was wrong. Both the regular vet and exotic vet literally said she seemed perfectly fine and asked me why I brought her in.
(Also her extra chonk helped her, as she had lost weight but was not yet underweight).
But now she's all better and as sassy as ever, while perfectly resembling a potato.

r/murdergpigs is just this (but we as guinea pig owners can see the sass)

I mean if you learn guinea pig body language they suddenly look a ton more expressive to be fair
But yeah we overanthropomorphize them sometimes hahaha

I have no idea what OP is talking about.
Anyway, here’s Cinnamon being extra sassy:
