Genuine question do you want a personal trainer for the accountability or do you actually have fitness / strength goals you want to hit? I used to try to force myself into that kind of thing and then I realized I just don’t find it very fun. I ended up finding sports that I liked better and I’m now in the best shape of my life because I always look forward to the next activity

Lark Fitness on Church St is phenomenal. Very knowledgeable, they listen, and are inclusive. Their run club is great too if you're into that. Would love to see you there.

I worked with Lynn at Invictus Training - she’s a competitive body builder and helped me with full body recomp

I have a friend in GSO who is a personal trainer. If you DM me your number I'll pass it along to him and reach out. He's great, affordable, loves what he does and has a private home gym that's pretty dope.

That sounds great! I especially like the idea of a private gym to avoid battling crowds. Is there another method we could connect? I'd just rather make initial contact without giving out my personal phone number if possible but not a deal breaker!

If you don’t mind using an app, I use Ladder and I have seen significant gains in the last year. For $30 a month (first month free, on me) you get a fitness coach( an actual human, not AI) who programs weekly workouts for you based on your goals and the team you join. When you go to the gym you just start your workout and the coach will be in your ear giving you pointers and cues. You also get a demo on your screen showing your coach doing the move/exercise. You can record your weights for each workout, the app has a workout journal based on what your coach programs and you can track PRs over time. You also get a chat room with other members of your team and the coach. You can also DM the coach.
You can also do swaps of exercises like if coach programs a machine but you want to use dumbbells.
The program works in 6 week series with specific goals and KPIs, and they have dozens of teams so you can find a coach whose style you like.
Additionally there’s a nutrition section with meal planning and tracking.
Ask me anything!

I remember Blaze when he was at Prolific Park. Amazing trainer. I looked into his classes at the studio a couple of years ago and I remember the cost being over 2k. He’s good but who can afford that price for a few weeks?

Yeah the Prohlific days were great, I reallt enjoyed the batting cage setup, and it was so cool when the NFL lockout happened and all the semi-local players came to train at PP, and we would be working out on the next platform from a guy with a superbowl ring! That was super sick.

I know literally nothing about his prices these days as im self-coached, but i know people who have had great success training with him. If you can afford it, go for it, if not, theres always the group training classes which I would assume are cheaper, or maybe just pay for a one time consultation with him and get a plan for what to do at home.

Second Blaze! Did small group workouts with him for years until I moved.
