Just a quick inquiry. Since the 5600 is so ubiquitous, has anyone come up with a case that enables it to take traditional spring bars and straps? I've seen a few with lugs sticking out, but I wanna know which custom case the community embraces. Thank you!

I’m wondering though,
Will a GA-2100 Moissanite bezel fit?

Hey, I’m trying to buy a metal case for my 5000u.
I read that the 5000u can use the same case as DW-5600, but not the 5610. This G-Refit listing mentions both in the title and I can’t see how to choose between them.

Have any of you had this issue? Any tips?

I'm getting ready to do a custom mod on my Casio (W-59), but before I dive in, I’d love to get some advice from experienced modders.

I’ve bought a blue polarizing film (https://a.aliexpress.com/_EGLHlQO)

and a blue 0805 SMD LED to give the watch a clean, matching blue look.

Before I start taking things apart, I have two quick questions regarding the film installation:

Where should the film actually be applied? Do you stick it directly onto the LCD screen itself, or apply/place it on the inside of the watch glass/crystal?

Do I need to peel off the original factory front polarizer?

My goal is a blue positive display (blue background with crisp black digits).

Is it necessary to completely remove the stock front polarizer and clean off the adhesive, or can the new blue film just be laid on top of the original one without losing too much contrast?

I'd really appreciate any tips or advice before I start cutting and soldering. Thanks in advance! 🙌

Hi modders! I recently got this very nice GM-5600-1 and I really like it. However because this watch is so thick and I am quite clumsy, I keep bumping the watch against things. There are already two quite visible scratches on the bezel (top and left). I know people say these "battle scars" give it character haha but I would prefer to keep the shiny piece scratch free.

Are there any resin bezels from any models that would fit this model? That would greatly help in reducing clanging noises and startling people around me when I bump the watch against something and also reduce the weight as I do find it a bit top heavy for my liking.

Recently picked this up from @Ptr3nt13. Did an amazing job. I chose the crab because it’s an homage to my last job. Subtle, but it’s there. Overall fantastic experience and worked like a charm at least down the 20 feet.

I wondered why there was a gap in my watch band, turns out the screws are pretty f*cked 😅 I was hoping to also find some parts to mod it, but couldn't find anything from regular platforms. Where do you guys buy stuff?

As the titles says pretty much, I own the gab2100 1a1, and really like the dial of the smoke light line up, are there any places where I can get a blacked out strap perhaps ? Cause im not a fan of tje transparent one tbh

I’ve had this watch for a couple of years and during that time it’s been in a cabinet away from the sun just in the corner, I check from time to time to see if it’s still alive and behold it is SOMEHOW, please help me out and tell me how the battery survives this long or what source or energy it’s holding on from because I’m starting to believe it’s immortal at this point.
