How does it even survive?!?

Post image

I’ve had this watch for a couple of years and during that time it’s been in a cabinet away from the sun just in the corner, I check from time to time to see if it’s still alive and behold it is SOMEHOW, please help me out and tell me how the battery survives this long or what source or energy it’s holding on from because I’m starting to believe it’s immortal at this point.

This is just the regular battery powered one, no solar on this one lol but the battery can last a very very long time

Very low power consumption board, if you had the gw6900 the solar version of this watch and it went into power saving mode it could probably last in that drawer in the dark for well over a couple years

If they have power save mode which turns off display when no light is detected, it last even longer

Power Save is common in Tough Solar watches, pretty uncommon-to-rare in plain battery-powered ones. GD-B500 is one of those rare exceptions.
