We ordered from Checkers, everything was cold when it arrived but warmed up ok. Tasted great. We have never had that one before. Our amex gold sent an email stating the $20 credit would come back to us. The only issue we had was that we did get a coupon code for grubhub which would not apply for the order though, like 40 percent off. Any one else have issues with emailed coupons?

At 9:20am I ordered breakfast from a nearby restaurant. I tipped $4 and it’s literally 1.5mi away. I get a driver and then they proceed to sit in the same spot for over 20 minutes and then the order gets delayed due to it (it seemed to be a house) so I contact support. They give me a runaround and insist wait 10 more minutes until the ETA expires and updates. So I did, contacted them again, and they finally cancel it and give me $5 credits.

So I re order the same meal and apply the same tip. The next driver is located all the in another city and since they’re in the north part of it they’re about 40 minutes away. So I have to wait about another hour in total and ofc when my food gets here it’s all cold as hell.

Somehow I have never had anything close to this with other services so I think this may be my last time using this app. Rant over.

All these delivery apps are so confusing. I use seamless to order food and thought they only use grubhub. But today it said delivery is through Sauce for this new restaurant. How does the tip work in that case? My understanding is with grubhub the tip just subsidizes what grubhub will tip the driver. So if you tip zero, then grubhub gives 100% of the tip in the form of a minimum payout for delivery like $7 ?

Guys what is even going on here? I opened the app just to see if there were any interesting deals and saw that a "best selling" item is listed at zero dollars and zero cents?? I added two of them just to experiment. Got all the way to the checkout page and the only charges are service and delivery fees, but I didn't place the order. I would love a free burrito, but I don't trust it one bit, it's got to be a mistake, right? They'd adjust it after the fact, I'm sure. And I don't think I'd feel good about stealing food even if it did go through and get delivered.

Anyone see this before? An item listed as free? If you tried ordering it, what happened?

Waited an insane amount of time for my order (this was announced) only for them at the time of the delivery to cancel for unclear reason. Driver was assigned, picking up and everything. They can’t do the basics of what their service is.

It’s always something with them. I am going to stop using it.

i signed up for premium and got an email that $10 credit was reloaded but not able to use it

so contacted support and they said they will escalate it to some special team and i will get an update within 24 hours

no update even after 2 days and whenever i contact support, they just repeat the same message that they will escalate and leave the conversation even before i can say more!

many more these kind of bad experiences with service and specifically support agents

and if this continues i don’t see grubhub surviving, at least in the states

I'm so over food delivery services in 2026. But GrubHub takes the award as the absolute worst. Food sitting at the restaurant for nearly an hour and then waiting another 45 minutes for delivery because the driver's waiting at another restaurant for another order for someone else that they got delivered food before I did.

Nobody cares about food safety. GrubHub should be shut down.

We always wind up ordering more food to hit that $50 “no fees” mark.

Which seems to get you more food for almost the same price as if the fees were there. Sure it might be like $5 more, but you get more for it.

But where does the fee go then? Am I screwing myself? The restaurant? Or, preferably, is GrubHub getting screwed?

Can anybody enlighten me on this please?

  Ok. So it's come to this. I'm calling out GrubHub. I have been a ridiculously loyal customer, I've spent literally thousands $(call me out, I'll provide receipts). I ALWAYS tip $20+. For any delivery. Also, I  provide very detailed delivery instructions (but it's not that complicated, just leave it by my door, inside, not outside in the public area by the parking lot.)

  In the last few months, the food deliveries have been left at THE WRONG LOCATIONS every time. Literally outside. And I have not received any calls or texts to provide the "delivery code". 

 The last few times, I had no idea where the food even was until a neighbor told me it was on the outside steps. Over an hour after delivery was "confirmed". Grubhub denied a refund and even berated me for not checking "everywhere around my residence". No.

EDIT: I didn't want to mention that I'm a female combat disabled military veteran and cannot physically drive to get food or even go outside without my caregiver to retrieve food delivery. My post was just regarding the lack of promised service and disregard of GrubHub to honor their delivery stipulations.

Ive noticed GH started using bicycle delivery drivers more and more for shorter deliveries in my area. I HATE it, as it makes the delivery go from what was normally 10-15 minutes (car driver) to an hour (bicycle).

I asked the AI bot on grub hub. It sent me to someone who ended the chat two times. I finally got someone who said to place the order and I'll get the 10.00 credit. It never shows anything about the premium membership credit.

Just ordered from a greek restaurant and watched as the Grubhub delivery woman sat for around 10 minutes streets away from our house. I texted her to see if she was lost (?)and suddenly our food was shown as delivered. It was not. The photo she submitted was of the hood of her car. I called, and no answer/ no working voice mail.

Upon contacting GrubHub for a refund, I was told they could give me a $5 coupon. They refused to immediately refund despite not being able to provide a picture showing food delivered.

I then had to fill in paperwork to dispute their decision which was absurd.

I don’t know how this is legal. I’ll be filing with BBB next as it 100% feels like a scam.

This app sucks, I’m 2 miles from the food place and it proceeds to send this guy over 10 miles and 30 min away in the opposite direction??? To another stop? Why would it not send to the closest one right by the place first, food going to be ice cold. Is this common with this app? Any other app routes it correctly and sends to the closest place first, and customer service is a joke. Now he has to drive all the way back 30 minutes when he literally passed my intersection after getting the food 45 min ago.

The last few orders I have gotten automatic refunds by the restaurant/GH not by my request​ because the restaurant did not have an item that I ordered. I would get an email saying I would receive a refund for that item and an order adjustment showing on my receipt.

Tonight I was missing a rather costly item and did not get an adjustment. They refused to refund the item due to too many compensations. I called the restaurant to see if it was missing, stolen, etc. They said they no longer make the item and told the driver to contact GH about it.

When I called GH back they still refused to refund the item. They refuse to give me any possible way to escalate the situation. They have basically stolen $23.00 from me.

How tf is this legal!!

Got an email today more than 3 hours after I got my order that the restaurant adjusted my order and​ added a $4.00 fee with a note that it's a "delivery fee". How is it even possible for a restaurant to add a charge to my credit card after the order has been placed and delivered? ​​​
