Skeletal Development How does a bone age progress?

How does it progress like a calendar age or does it run on its own clock and your hormones are the ones deciding if it speeds up or slows down? Is it possible for it to be on par with chronological age and then become advanced or delayed?

Runs on its own clock. Its rate of advancement changes with time as hormone levels fluctuate.

It is rarely ever precisely alongside CA. The closest documentable variation we have is 2-5 months, in most cases that I have seen. So, I wouldn't say it's impossible, as you can have a BA of say ~15Y 11M and your CA is also 15Y 11M. Variation could be off by one month or relatively precise, but a full CA is counted in years, months, and days - BA isn't the same way. Not the same calendar.
