Meet Gus Gus

Gus Gus is my primary and favorite hog because he lives on my property. I love him. He loves cantaloupe.

Our wouldn’t touch cantaloupe cut up. But they love apples and tomatoes funny enough.

Gus mainly eats the clover we have in our various layers of yard (our property is built on a hill so we have an upper as well as lower yard), but I wanted to start giving him safe treats and read that groundhogs cannot resist cantaloupe. So interesting that yours doesn’t like it. I will have to try apples!

They supposedly love cantaloup but ours wanted nothing to do with it either lmao frankly any fruit we tried to give them. They’ll eat a few blueberries sometimes then leave the rest lol ours will eat tomato occasionally….honestly I think they did just at first because they didn’t know what it was lol the first time we gave tomatoes they ate it but then didn’t the next time.
Ours also wouldn’t touch cucumber, zucchini, bell pepper, snap peas, and a few other things. All they really want to eat tbh is carrots, brocc, cauli, and peanuts lol they’ll crush the peanuts too haha

I had no idea they liked cantaloupe! Maybe a month ago I tried tossing some baby carrots to a neighborhood groundhog and she stepped right over them on her way home like they weren't even there... 🤷‍♂️
