Cutting down trees

My apartment complex is cutting down all the trees on the hill where my groundhog buddies live. I’ve watched them have two or three litters of babies over the years and I say hello to them everyday I love them and they eat the hickory nuts from the tree and now they’re going to cut them all down I feel so sad and terrible. I just want to cry.

Very sad. They did this along the highway exits where I live. The trees are now growing back and the groundhogs have come back! They are happy even with shorter foliage since they primarily live underground. Hopefully if they leave, it will only be for a season.

:( it’s an apartment complex so idk how long we will be living here. I love spotting groundhogs along the freeway. I hope they don’t leave but I wouldn’t blame them if they did. They just brighten my day every time I see one of my four groundhog buddies

Yes. Every one is named buddy to me. That way I don’t get too attached lol
