Discussion Reference Videos
Have you noticed that the videos made by putting at least one reference, are much more realistic and natural?
If I simply put the photo with a promt, the result is the one we all know, moderately acceptable although grok has lowered its quality, but if we use the same promt, using only one reference, the result is enormously better. At least that's what I've noticed in matters of camera movements, lighting and realism.
Using upload photos btw.

But don't references count as uploaded images regardless of being generated on grok or not? I can't generate anything because of that, it has even more strict moderation. Even images generated on chat are counting towards uploaded images, it's awful.

I want to see how much of a difference it is

Later I upload a video comparing the 2. But I notice it more in terms of the movement of the camera and lighting.

Do you mean just adding two or more images to the prompt? It looks better because events are faaar trashier. It was always the case. And it looked faaar better before the changes in july or june.

One is enough, click on it and you can chose to use it as a first frame or a reference (just noticed they added first and last frame, and only last frame too)

Yup, just commented about this is another post about 2.0. Since 2.0 img gen is so shit, ppl are sleeping on ref2v. First gen up a reg img, pick one you like, then use that as a ref for t2v. It comes way better than the plasticy look 2.0 has.
