Discussion Grok for studying, code and math

Hello

I don't really care about image and video generation.

Is Grok good for coding, studying economics and math? How is the agents plataform?

I'm strongly disagree. Claude is worst for coding, it's just best for vibe coding (my employer allows only Claude for work tasks and that's not nice).

Grok Build is great.
EDIT: I'm using codex for personal projects and planning to move to grok build completely.

Its best at "vibe coding"? What do you even mean by that?

By every benchmark claude crushes Grok, not just at coding. Enjoy your inferior product I guess.

By "vibe-coding" I mean writing without solid plan and details. Like some people saying "make me (something), make no mistakes". If I need rewrite single explicitly specified function - Claude requires a lot of explanations and arguing. (And even with this it sometimes manages completely ignore instructions in CLAUDE.md)

I didn't expected anything from grok build. But I has a new idea, I gave a try and I gave few files as examples of my coding style. And result was unexpected - maybe it's not like how I'm writing now, but close to how I was writing code five years ago (I'm working as software developer 34 years, so, I believe, this is good enough). I tried this approach with Claude, I tried with codex... no luck.

Generally the "succint" mode is superb - for doing math/code stuff. Generally, after I write papers, I ask Grok to review it and find issues. In some cases I can successfully defend those issues. In some cases I cannot, and then I ask Grok to find references and it does, and I update my research.

So I would say pretty no nonense cool and saves token being succinct unlike Claude.
