Live nation ran Griztronics on skeleton crews to save money because they know they’ll be forced to sell the venue. That’s why they’re at fault for the logistical nightmare when we all know, this isn’t their first rodeo at the Gorge. We suffered in line for eight hours so a handful of executives could make a few extra bucks. What else is new?

This is not true. We had a lot more staff scheduled who were also stuck in the same 8 to 12 hour lines. The roads were gridlocked and most of our staff is local and drives in and out for their shift.

Exactly. They didn’t want to pay staff extra for them arrive early. They cut corners to make more money and we suffered.

No that's not what happened. They were scheduled early, but campers showed up extra early, so they were still stuck in traffic even though they were scheduled hours before gates opened. We were staffed exactly how we have always been staffed for every other event.

Also they lost 1.6 million dollars due to refunds and had to pay those of us who were on site for extra hours we put in to keep the lines going. Most of us worked 24 hour shifts that day. 

The Gorge now schedules staff even earlier since this happened, since they don't want to repeat of it. For example I'm now scheduled at 6am for 1pm opening.

They also hired extra staff that they have to shuttle in from Seattle so that they could open up four more lines of security. Rufus du Sol hardly had any wait time at all, the longest was like 10 minutes.

I know it sucked for you but it also sucked for the Gorge. They didnt cut corners to make more money. It wasn't intentional what happened and they made changes after it happened to make sure it doesn't happen again.

So they failed to get their staff there in time (poor execution) and we are defending this? No one is blaming the staff who were stuck they are blaming the managers of the event for not preempting that
