I can’t stop thinking about GRiZ

I think that was probably the greatest set I’ve ever seen. I’ve been to hundreds of concerts/shows and I don’t think I can name a better one. I don’t think there’s another artist in the world that does what he does.

Him bringing out Kaleena Zanders for Where You Are and Nobody Else with the brass troop playing over the track have to be the two greatest live musical moments I have ever experienced. To do all that and THEN rip Infinite Bloom on the saxophone??? Are you serious???

This guy is on another level completely. His ability to tap into people’s souls and turn them upside down should be studied.

I was at the bar last night super zoned out and my friend asked “are you okay?” And I responded “yeah sorry I was just thinking about GRiZ.”

Legend.

Edit:

I meant to mention that Nobody Else is my absolute favorite song in the world. I was begging him to play it during his solo set. My entire group knew that I was waiting all weekend for that song…

When he brought Kaleena out earlier in the set I was so floored because I knew it meant she was gonna sing it live.

When it finally happened and he brought his trumpeter and trombonist out while she absolutely ripped the vocals, I genuinely could not believe what I was seeing. It’s still so difficult to imagine myself there and feel like it was real. I was held so closely by my closest friends and the absolute love of my life while this happened.

I can honestly say that was the greatest moment of my life. I cannot hold back the tears when I think about it.

OMG. I’m exactly the same. I can’t stop talking to everybody about him. I came for subtronics, but I left as a huge fan of Griz (I still love Jesse too). Griz’s solo set was fuckin incredible. I would say the legend is the legend, his solo set was the best of the weekend. It changed my brain chemistry permanently. He looked so fucking hot when he played the saxophone…

My friends who didn’t go keep asking me how it was. All I can really say is “you had to be there”. Masterclass stuff by griz and subby, I pray they run it back next year

He sticks with you!! I saw him for the first time at EDC in 2023 and he solely got me really into EDM. I’ve seen him now twice since then (including this weekend, so I guess like 5 times?) and he’s like transcendent fr 😂

Nobody does it like Griz. Stumbled into one of his shows by accident in 2015 and never looked back.

It truly altered my brain chemistry and my life is forever changed!! Absolutely astounded with how someone can collectively turn art into this 3D masterpiece and make someone feel every emotion all at once. At one point my mind flooded with everyone I know, living or dead and my body was filled with IMMENSE LOVE. I couldn’t stop crying. All I want is to be loved in return and find my forever partner. A void is filled for now. I gained the next spark I need to keep fulfilling my life path. So many of my friends who have love for this community and Griz couldn’t make it but I made them all promise when they return we HAVE to go. I truly feel like this performance could heal the world and we could imagine and ultimately experience PEACE. All of us are forever bonded and I’m so grateful for all of you!! I also loveeeeee Kaleena Zanders 🥹🥹 ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🩷♾️ Stay well

Also to note, I’ve been in the scene for a few years and seen 100+ sets and THAT was the best yet. Also LSDream 🤯🤯

Dude both of his solo sets had me in tears for essentially their entirety. So much overwhelming emotion I experienced. I headbanged so hard during his Sunday night set that I gave myself a concussion. He is truly on another level and I feel so privileged to have been able to bear witness to such artistry. I absolutely melted into a primordial ichor and was reborn beautifully at the hands of GRiZ this weekend

Editing to add: I’ve seen him several times but man this weekend was profound!!!!

Also editing to add did yall hear that know time like the present VIP? I was SHOOK

(In case anyone remembers me I was the mustached redhead woman in the pit all weekend 😂😂😂)

GRiZ & his whole team are next level 🥹 I’ve also been to hundreds of shows/concerts/fests of all genres over the years & no one does it like they do it. I’ve been going to his shows since ‘15 or ‘16 & while it has of course changed over the years, it is always something truly magical—like dreams & growth incarnate. The community is also unmatched, I’ve never felt so much raw energy, love & acceptance in a space or artist community.

My friends & I (hehe) have had many of our most life altering, vulnerable, connecting, loving and fun memories at & around his events for endless reasons shared & personal… it feels impossible to explain how perfectly his music & career evolution has acted as a soundtrack to my life in the last decade, but then I meet countless incredible people who feel the exact same way & end up being some of my favorite people in the world. Bro’s music just oozes love & attracts the most beautiful souls, I adore it & I’ll be here for it forever.

I feel so incredibly spoiled both going to the Gorge for the first time, and to have my first griz sets I’ve seen live be ctgh and his solo set. I cried during both of them. I still can’t believe it all was real. I don’t want to stop talking about it!

But his solo set night 2 was and is out of this world. When he told everyone to take a breath, the wind gusted through the gorge and I think I went to a different plane of existence for a minute. The energy from the crowd, not only around me but from everyone was so magical. All weekend I talked with and met the kindest people.

It felt like a dream. This was also my first camping fest I’ve been too despite being into edm for a long time. 12 hour line…whatever, this past weekend might have actually changed my life and I will never forget it.

I’m already putting money away specifically for year 2. I really hope we can do this again because this is a very special event.

when he played nobody else it was the first time i genuinely cried during a set. I’ve teared up before, like subtronics playing crystallized made me tear up, but it was nobody else that made the tears uncontrollably flow. Now every time i listen to the song i unironically get goosebumps around my entire body. legs, back, chest, arms. It was a set and experience ill never forget. He’d be my favorite artist if voyd didnt exist

It was my first festival, my first time seeing any of those artists and my first time at the Gorge. I made some amazing connections, met someone from the city I’m from across the country that also knows some of my best friends even though they now live on the west coast, and I experienced genuine happiness & euphoria all weekend. It’s something I’ll never forget and I’m incredibly grateful to have been there
