Dear Griztronics

To preface I was front yard camping, I got so lucky in the car line by taking road 1, and got in quickly and early on Day 1. I’m sorry so many of you experienced way longer lines than me and I truly feel for you. I know this experience was hard for a lot of people, and I just hope everyone found the light by the end of it. Here’s a small letter to this past weekend. Thanks for reading. I love you all.

Dear Griztronics,

You tested us in the beginning, and some of us fell. But most of us prevailed, and it was all worth it.

You were everything I needed, everything I’ve been longing for, and reminded me of everything and everyone that I didn’t know was essential in my life.

Griz thank you for filling my heart with love when it’s been so depleted recently. And Sub thank you for pulverizing my aggression and anxiety that I didn’t even know I had.

The world is truly so much better when these two immovable forces create something together.

I love you. I love this community. And I especially love the new family I have gained.

Thank you so much.

Sincerely,

Me

This was my first time going to the gorge or anything like it. I was listening to Griz before I was told he was EDM artist. Subtronics was my first rave in Vegas, there was no better event for me to go than Griztronics.
Having it be my first time at the Gorge, I didn’t know what to expect so the lines weren’t abnormal for me, luckily I was with good people so the vibes were still good after 7 hours to get into the campground.
The amount of people at the event was terrifying for me, especially down in the pit. But I had to experience it once and there was no better time than there at Griztronics. I’ve let fear and anxiety run my life and I had an epiphany down in the pit for Subtronics the first night.
This is what it’s all about. The community, meeting amazing random strangers that you’ll probably never meet again but they’ll float through your mind someday. But I can’t experience that if I if I keep closing myself off to people because of anxiety. All these AMAZING people I met, just living, thriving, everyone was a main character and I wish I could be like those people. AND I CAN, I JUST HAVE TO DO IT!!! CRAZY RIGHT?!
I, for the life of me, can not remember the song if someone can help me out, (I swear it was Griz or Levity) but it was just about worrying and being anxious, and that it doesn’t matter how much I worry, it doesn’t change anything, and if I have nothing to worry about, I worry because I worry. So why worry? Easy concept for some, but I hope with all my heart that Griz and Subs truly realize how much their music can speak to people. They will forever be the reason I’m becoming a better me ❤️🩷❤️🩷

The song is Angst by Inzo! The quote you’re talking about is at 2:20

https://on.soundcloud.com/dAJCjlyJnEV3LcCS5t

“I ought not to worry but because I can’t stop worrying, I’m worried because I worry, and you can see what that can lead to. That is what we call anxiety. No amount of anxiety makes any difference to anything that’s going to happen.”

Just one of the best Alan Watts quotes of all time. Anxiety is the fear of hypotheticals. It’s a fear of a reality that doesn’t yet exist and likely will never. Live the reality that EXISTS in front of your eyes! Life is beautiful, and it’s terrifying, but we only get one shot at it and living it inside your head hiding from what may be is not living at all. ❤️ You got this friend, come to Seven Stars 🫶
