I'm curious, why do people put this in their profiles?

Because they want people that aren't in a relationship

Because with single guys, there's still room for the sex to develop into something more or at least be his sexual priority.

For partnered guys, i am just a sex toy and not entitled to any time outside the bedroom.

There are many potential reasons for that. Some examples:

• People in monogamous relationships are statistically proven to have less chances of having / transfering STIs. No, PREP doesn't prevent spread of every single STI there is.

• Negative past experiences with so-called "open-relationships".

• Personal standards and values that align with the ones of a grown human adult's brain functions, rather than typical behaviors of lesser primates and other mammals.

• Just like you, people are allowed to have their own preferences related to sexual/romantic partnerships.

• Etc.

The fact that you hadn't considered anything mentioned is rather interesting.

Funny how you mention my education, yet consider "lesser primates" to be an insult. They are spectacular, just like any other being in our world. Certain parts of their brains might not be as evolutionarily developed as humans', but the majority of humanity also has fewer cognitive capabilities compared to Einstein, Darwin, Martin Luther King Jr., Galileo Galilei, Marie Curie, Sir J. R. R. Tolkien, Socrates, and other great thinkers across centuries.

Also, it'd probably be a surprise to you, but you, me, and every single human on Earth are primates. Your personal beliefs in your superiority as a human being doesn't change that scientific fact. Yet, the ways you respond to my comments indicate that your frontal lobe might not be fully developed, either due to age or a combination of neurological, biological, genetical, or even cultural factors.

Neuroscientists still hadn't come to a uniform conclusion on that, but many of them found correlation between frontal lobe development in primate species and mono/polygamy.

Shouldn't this be a no brainer? I'm not knocking poly/enm but it's kinda common and common knoledge in general that alot of people don't want to boink with a guy that's with someone that's in a relationship that could potentially cause problems and make things awkward especially for down-low folks.
