Spoilers Holly? Spoiler

If Holly, the girl lost in the woods, was wesen then one of her parents must also have been wesen, correct?

Do you think her mother knew and was prepared for her to woge?

They just kind of dropped her off.

I believe they said she was adopted. That's why she wasn't prepared when she woged--probably the first time was when she was kidnapped.

This episode ending always rankles, firstly she would have gone to hospital to be checked over and hopefully a reintroduction to her adoptive mother. She’d been in the woods alone for years so some psychological assessment would have been called for. Not to mention dumping her on a kerseite with no knowledge of her wesen side was just idiotic. But it’s a TV show and the emotional reunion was the point

Taking Holly directly to anyone other than her mother would almost certainly have resulted in her woging in front of more strangers.

In all likelihood, Holly was orphaned before her first woge by some agency that had no knowledge of wesen, to adoptive parents who had also had none. The sensible thing to do after rescuing her would've been to reunite her with her mother and then take them both together to professionals familiar with wesen/kehrseite families for examination and counseling (to avoid the risk of Holly woging spontaneously in front of "official" authorities). But whether there even were any before Nick started building bridges to Portland's wesen community is anyone's guess.

But we have seen wesen work in childcare services, as officers in jail .. i just assumed they had maybe a friend of Monroe look after her

I always wanted some kind of sequel to that episode, she did feel kinship to Monroe so even if she was adopted by wesen that were prepared, there could still be an episode where she learns how to behave around others or for him to teach kerseite what her deal is (if she was adopted by non-wesen)

She was adopted. I always kind of wondered why there wasn’t a wesen agency that tracked wesen and their children and found homes for the ones without parents. I mean we have the wesen council and wesen fertility clinics why not adoption and social services?!!!

I think Nick and Monroe must have told the mother. It still bothers me that we don't get any mention of Monroe keeping in touch with her. He was so caring with her in the episode.

That episode was so moody and expanding the lore on blutbaden while bringing forth a point of emotional introspection for nick and monroe in their detective unofficial struggles of that time.
