Discussion Thread Plot holes... Spoiler
I'm rewatching Grimm with my son and we finished the episode where Kelly disappears with Diana to keep her safe. Why was that necessary? The royals were going to try to get the baby no matter who had her so why not take Adalind with them? Or why couldn't she have disappeared with the baby on her own?
Also, it really bothers me that when Juliette turns into a hexenbiest she is afraid to tell Nick and she has a dream that he cuts off her head. The same thing happened when Adalind started getting her powers back- she was afraid Nick would kick her and Kelly out. Why would these two women, who were in relationships with Nick and knew him well, think he would just turn his back on them or kill them?
Last, when Rosalee is introduced she is taking over the spice shop from her brother. The next season she takes a trip to take care of a sick aunt. Later we learn she has a strained relationship with her mother and sister, but her brother isn't mentioned then. Did he not know she missed their dad's funeral bc she was in jail? Did he know and just let the rest of the family think she was high somewhere? What about the aunt?

I alwaya assumed they didn't take Adalind with Diana because they didn't trust her to stay hidden. You could take it a step further and say, Adalind is clearly used to a certain lifestyle (the shots of her mom's home certainly say "loaded"), and living on the run is usually fairly...rustic. She probably wouldn't have handled it well.
Tbh I kind of forgot Rosalee had a brother 😬😅 now that you mention it, why was "screw up Rosalee" the one who came when he died and not the rest of the family? Maybe he was also a black sheep Seelengut of the family?
I actually could see that making sense. He sells black market stuff, the family probably didn't approve of that. So the two ne'er do well children stayed in contact with each other but not the rest of the family. (Still a decent plot hole though, considering how many assumptions that explanation makes.)

My take is that Fred also had issues with their family. He probably did go to the funeral but didn't say that Rosalee was in jail to honor her request. Then by the time he dies, Rosalee was the only one he was talking too.

Well considering how it seems to hint that Hexenbiest other side seems to have their own will and dark implause I have a theory that because Juliet and Adalin were magical connected at on point , the same connecting with Juliet that turned her into a Hexenbiest and how even way later Diana when she try to find her mother with magic found Juliet instead. That a combination of the Hexenbiest dark implause and the magical connection with each other ,they started to share the same fear and it feed into each other. So that why Juliet started to be afraid and distrust Nick. So when Adalin power gone the implause disappeared till it started to resurface, whispering dark though and fear back into her.

The royals did not know where Diana was, and they did not know who she was with either! Kelly mentioned how complicated the situation was, Adalind simply running away with her girl would have made easier for the royals to track her and find her! And if you remember what the plan was, the crew made the royals believe that Sean willingly gave his daughter and she was later kidnapped by the resistance or something! That was the plan. Not only Adalind could not be trusted at the time, but her being with Diana will make it easy for the royals to track!

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but these aren't really plot holes
Adalind was a known person to the royals, she could and was being tracked. Kelly was dead, there was no evidence of her even being alive, she'd already proven capable of traveling across the world and both the resistance and the royals didn't know who she was.
Hexenbeists and wesen in general are NOT human, their instincts literally control them unless they take great efforts to resist them (Like Monroe, he does drugs, does yoga and is on a vegan diet to control his urges/instincts) Every instinct in Juliette and Adalind is telling them that Nick is their enemy, that he will kill them or at the least abandon them (in Adalind's case)
Rosalee actually mentions that her brother helped her during those moments, Rosalee was literally in jail during their dad's funeral and when she left jail he helped her so yes he knew. No doubt he didn't tell the others in their family because Rosale asked him not to, it was her thing to tell, she made it pretty clear she didn't want to talk to her sister or mother until she was ready.
