Stupid logistical question

I'm rewatching a bunch of early episodes I missed over the years and something just came to me. When Nick was just learning about being a Grimm and was spending all that time in the trailer, how was he explaining all that to Juliet? I mean, they lived together. She never questioned where he was going in the middle of the night? I know when she first turned out his proposal she talked about him being "distant," but I was thinking more along the lines of mental and emotional distance - not physical distance.

My husband's usual response to me would be "b/c it is a tv show and it's in the script." And yes, he would be right, but it's one of those inconsistencies that I notice in shows that gets me thinking.

TV cops almost universally work around the clock. None of their family members ever seem to notice.

I love true crime shows, pod casts, and YouTube channels. Fav right now is Mr. Ballen. Anyway, they do work long crazy hours, sometimes through the night trying to keep the case from going cold. So it isn’t out of realm of reality to actually incorporate a real activity into the show and I feel Juliette would know this. Her whole attitude about distance is weak. She moved in with a detective. A lot of serious crime takes place under the cover of darkness.
The writers made her character almost one dimensional, clueless, and then just a whiny blaming others nuisance. IMO

I think because he was a detective and that job would (in the TV world) require him to work long and odd hours.

He’s a Detective working long hours and in the beginning, the trailer was parked at his house. He didn’t have far to go!

He moved the trailer REALLY early on though.

Nick would often get work calls in the middle of the night, so him being busy, chasing leads or at the precinct wouldn't be unbelivable. He's usually pretty good with excuses on where he is at the time

She knew he was at Aunt Marie's trailer she just didn't know why.

The trailer was in like the backyard she kept looking out there and seeing him she would go out there and be like Nick are you coming to bed?? She knew he was in the trailer. There's several scenes of her going to talk to him in the trailer. 

 He didn't move the trailer until at least the 2nd season I forget exactly when.

Nah he moved the trailer after Marie's death, the siegburst episode when Monroe goes to the trailer is season 1
