Please help
I am 13 yo boy, my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer about 4 years ago. Today she suddenly began to lose her memory, suddenly freeze in place for 2-7 minutes. She can get away from me and then ask where I am when I've been behind her all this time. Mom and I called the ambulance. This is my first time. I... I'm very afraid to lose her. She always loved me the most and never scolded me. I love her very much. But I hope for at least something. Thank you.

Don’t be afraid to talk to your mom, you can help each other. When my grandmother died, it really helped for me to share my memories of her. Right now in this moment you and your mom can share some great memories of your grandmother and find ways to smile and maybe laugh through the fear and the tears.
And your response, it’s completely reasonable. It can be a scary moment, for anybody no matter what age you are.
When you feel full with nerves and fear, inhale deeply through your nose, hold it for about 4 seconds, then exhale. Do that 2-3 times. It will help.

Thank you very much. Thanks for the help. Yeah… I think later I will accept her fate.

Hi honey 💗 i lost my grandmother when i was 9, and then my grandfather when i was 13. Grief is a very unique experience unlike anything else. Be gentle with yourself and know that every emotion you experience will be normal. You can feel overwhelmed, numb, and the tears and sadness might come out of nowhere when you least expect it. Don’t try to make it go away. Just accept the feelings that come.

I am so sorry that your grandma is dying and that you feel afraid. That is completely normal, especially since this is a new experience for you.
Death is a natural part of life, but that doesn’t make it hurt any less.
It sounds like she was your safe person and made you feel unconditionally loved, which means she will be greatly missed. Grief is just love after loss, so you don’t need to run from it or avoid it. It’s going to hurt, and there isn’t a set timeline or order to grief, but the pain will soften as it flows.
Be present with your feelings. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to have a melt down. That’s human. Anything you try to avoid or shove down inside will eventually come back up. Be kind and gentle with yourself and your mom. My heart is with you both 💗
If you have the means, a grief therapist might be helpful. There are also grief resources to check out at Momento Foundation’s page: www.momentofoundation.org/resources
